Anonymous Attacks: Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS). This video explains what DDoS is in simple terms. At the end of the video the author gives his own personal opinion of hackers who use this technique. He does not think favorably of them. This show the different opinions of hackers, such as Anonymous members. Posted to a public opinion website shows some research about the people who support Anonymous. The findings separated opinions into categories: age, political affiliation, and employment. They found that four out of five people questioned under the age of 35 agreed with and supported Anonymous, while only two out of five people over 35 support the movement. Conservatives apparently cannot stand these hactivists, for similar reasons that they typically side against WikiLeaks. Create a free website.

I created this website to share my findings about the transition from high school to a college with a student body as diverse Emory. On the wing of my floor in Harris Hall, there is a Hindu. One form of activism is called "hacktivism." Wikipedia. Defines hacktivism as "the use of computers and computer networks to promote political ends, chiefly free speech, human rights, and information ethics." The methods that hacktivists use are not always legal, but they are done to fight for a cause the hacker believes is in the public's best interest. I have chosen to focus this website on a particular large hacktivist group called Anonymous. While also mentioning a smaller group named WikiLeaks.
