What Scent but that of Lilacs? Lilac fragrances part 1 | The Sounds of Scent
http://www.thesoundsofscent.com/what-scent-but-that-of-lilacs-lilac-fragrances-part-1
The Sounds of Scent. Asali's perfume blog. What Scent but that of Lilacs? Lilac fragrances part 1. When looking for a lilac perfume, what exactly are we searching for; memories, the foreboding of spring, the lilac bush as it goes from a green on-burst over alluring sweetness to decaying sensuality? I Profumi di Firenze ‘Lilla Serenella’. This Lilla Serenella might be a soliflore, but it makes me forget all about it. And did I mention that if you visit Firenze, these perfumes are a steal. None the less, t...

Biographerfume – En Voyage Perfumes, Frida (2015) | The Sounds of Scent

The Sounds of Scent. Asali's perfume blog. Biographerfume – En Voyage Perfumes, Frida (2015). All the more reason for me to actually admire people who are able to embrace all that is Frida Kahlo, and even more so, actually pay tribute to her through their own work. For the most, whenever perfumers name their perfumes for famous people or fictional characters, it becomes a bit glossed over take Misia (and Kafkaesque. View on that) or my own issue with Carmen. The top notes relax after a short while and a ...

The Sounds of Scent. Asali's perfume blog. Chocolate Days – EnVoyage Perfumes Café Cacao and Duftmanufaktur Chocolat Irisé. Café Cacao starts of powdery dry and dark like being in an old spices shop full of spice jars and with cacao and coffee being weighed on old-fashioned scales. Chocolat irisé by Annette Neuffer Duftmanufaktur. On the other hand, starts possibly juicy by comparison. It opens on a dark chocolate orange flavour. Today on Cafleurebon –. After a three year hiatus, I’m back as a cont...

the cow jumped over the moon: December 2014
http://taraegon.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
The cow jumped over the moon. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. We need a word for this. We need a word for the week between Christmas and New Year's. I am finally finally feeling better (thanks to everyone who cheered me on! So today I start to do all the kitchen stuff I had meant to do earlier this month: Because we still have too many apples I'll be making more chutney and dehydrating apples for Sephora's treats. Shortbread. And I still might. Try the holiday cookies I had 'pinned' on Pinterest. The one tha...

the cow jumped over the moon: August 2015
http://taraegon.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
The cow jumped over the moon. Monday, August 24, 2015. At four o'clock, we couldn't decide on what to have for dinner later, so off we went to the county fair, to stuff ourselves with fair food and enjoy the late afternoon. The fair is held in the town south of us, about 17 minutes away by car. We first went looking for our friends' daughter's goats -. But we couldn't find them in the Goat Barn. We walked by youngsters showing their horses. Lots of farm equipment for show and for sale. Links to this post.

http://taraegon.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
The cow jumped over the moon. Friday, January 30, 2015. The wayback machine and marmalade re-do. I found my old site, TaraKnit. Through the Wayback Machine. Now I have heard about The Wayback Machine. Before, but I never thought to search it for my site - but my sister Maria recently sent me a link to this article from the New Yorker. So that made me look for it. DPNs on the left, straight needles on the right. I also splurged on a new thermometer the other day. Well, I was able to resurrect it somewhat ...

Sensei by Piotr Czarnecki Review – My Perfume Library
https://myperfumelibrary.com/2015/03/24/sensei-by-piotr-czarnecki-review
Sensei by Piotr Czarnecki Review. March 24, 2015. May 7, 2016. Sensei by Piotr Czarnecki. 3 x 33ml EDT/EDP/EXT for $160 USD at Luckyscent. Whiskey, coffee, tobacco, pepper, cinnamon, incense, myrrh, spicy accord, ambrette, labdanum, benzoin, amber and musk. Or even James Bond vibe from it. I think Sensei is a good name for it. It softens about half an hour in and edges more towards the gender-neutral line. It also gets sweeter (as opposed to the initial sour opening) with the cinnamon. I like it&...Enter...
