Claire's Art: April 2013

http://apex-2016-claire.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Art 2 Final Portfolio. Art 1 Final Portfolio. Tuesday, April 16, 2013. This week in Art, we learned how to use the program Photoshop. I have used this a couple of times before, but not in great detail. We watched videos detailing the different functions and settings in Photoshop, and we created a morphed image using that knowledge. I thought the final products were really cool because angry, vicious pancakes or a lady with a frog tongue are totally unexpected! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Claire's Art: October 2015

http://apex-2016-claire.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html

Art 2 Final Portfolio. Art 1 Final Portfolio. Friday, October 30, 2015. For this project, I used a Cinderella theme to create a collage of iconic pictures. I lowered the opacity on the background images so that the main image, the glass slipper, would be emphasized. This shoe in its nature is translucent, letting light and shapes show through but not specific details. I also utilized different brushes to pull everything together cohesively. Friday, October 23, 2015. We are Santa's Elves. I am really exci...

Art 2 Final Portfolio. Art 1 Final Portfolio. Monday, November 30, 2015. For this project, we used the website Tinkercad to design something to print with a 3D printer. I decided to make a replica of Minnie Mouse! Friday, November 20, 2015. Tuesday, November 17, 2015. Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Friday, November 6, 2015. Pink Pig: Parts of a Whole. It was a little difficult to get the collage of images to look like one animal, but I think changing it so they were all around the same value of pink helped.

Claire's Art: May 2013

http://apex-2016-claire.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Art 2 Final Portfolio. Art 1 Final Portfolio. Thursday, May 2, 2013. I learned that you had to put a pretty good amount of ink on the linoleum to achieve the look you were gong for. I also learned how house painters feel with their paint rollers! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Watermark theme. Powered by Blogger.

Art 3 adventured out to the art museum to get inspired for our next project, here Zoe and I were forced to take a picture to the most expensive piece in the collection. Next my favorite one. Wednesday, January 6, 2016. This first piece is an example of how I learned to use more shapes in my art. This art is more centered around the shape of the art. This piece is an example of how I use more nontraditional materials in my sculptures. The aluminum foil I used to create a trashcan isn't something you'd see very often in art. Saturday, January 2, 2016. Monday, December 14, 2015. Never got to say. When we were told to make an art piece based on something we never got to say i knew exactly how i ...

Art 1 Final Portfolio. Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Original photos. From here I decided to use the beach as my background and use the photo of the mountains to come into the picture. Using the rectangular marquee tool I selected the photo of the mountains and copied and pasted it onto the photo of the beach. Using ctrl t I am able to use the transform tool to scale my picture to my liking. Use shift alt while transforming so the photo doesn’t become distorted. Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Art 1 final portfolio. Wednesday, January 6, 2016. I don't have a picture of my reaction project but it's safe to say i hated it. i worked really hard and was searching too hard for perfection and definitely didn't find it. i wish i went with something simpler and less strenuous. I saw this and i liked it because of its simplicity and i liked the texture. At first, i didnt like this one but once i got closer the textures were really cool. I dont like this one because it looks like colorful vomit. Art wit...

Sunday, June 5, 2016. Art Refliction Question 2 (#2). I feel my artistic strengths revolve mostly drawing something and coloring to an extent. My weaknesses appear to be shading, proportions, and drawing hands. I can improve on these by practicing. I must draw more hands, look at pictures of hands and shade them. This can also help me to improve my proportions. Refliction Question 1 (#4). Wednesday, March 16, 2016. It's a metaphor for the thin skindness of society. My first object made with a 3D printer.

Art One- -Final Portfolio! Art 2 Final Portfolio♥. Wednesday, January 6, 2016. I wish my candle holder idea could have worked out because once it had been finished the light patterns that would have shown through the sides would have been so beautiful. I do not have a picture of my actual piece in progress because it kept cracking and breaking so I threw it away :( however, here is a picture of the mold I used to create the snowflakes:. This full class involved project was quite an enjoyable one!
