A Postcard From Our House

Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Jessica and Quincy's visit. Hmmm I just realized I posted all of these pictures backwards. It's a big pain to change them, so just know that you're starting at the last of their trip and working back to the first of their trip. It was so nice to have Jessica and Quincy here! Saturday, March 23. Adam eating candied strawberries and hawthornes. The chef preparing our Peking duck. This guy could change the color of mask he was wearing in a split second. Jacob's awesome fan club!

A Postcard From Our House: April 2008

http://www.apostcardfromourhouse.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Jessica and Quincy's Engagement Pictures. Jessica and Quincy had their engagement pictures taken last Saturday. They emailed me some of their favorites and I thought they turned out super cute. They make me smile every time I see them! Here are some pictures that we had taken while they were in China last month. Heidi Swapp, of scrapbooking fame is in our branch and she took these. He did a good job, though- as far as. In the ceremony there was also candle lighting, champagne d...

http://www.apostcardfromourhouse.blogspot.com/2009/02/jacobs-birthday-party.html

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Yup You're right. Jacob's birthday was nearly a month-and-a-half ago. You may be thinking that I'm just slow at putting the pictures on my blog. Actually, I'm pretty prompt at posting the pictures- we were just really slow at having the party! I mean scientific.). Here are a few pictures of the fun:. A few creepy decorations. Trying to solve the riddle. Jacob and his team trying to build a marshmellow/toothpick tower that was at least 12" tall. This was hard! I went through ...

Monday, November 10, 2008. A Tale of Two Cities. By popular demand here are some pictures of Adam in his high school play, "A Tale of Two Cities." It was really fun to see him up on stage. He did GREAT! Yup That's Adam with the white hair and black coat. These are all the LDS kids that were in the play. With a total cast of 24 people, it was a pretty high percentage! Adam with Grandma and Grandpa Edwards. We're so glad they could be here! Sunday, November 9, 2008. A bunch of cute kids from our branch.

A Postcard From Our House: October 2008

http://www.apostcardfromourhouse.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Sleeping on the Great Wall. Adam had play practice until 1:00 and Brian and I were trying to get our Thailand trip scheduled, so in our family only Erin and Jake rode the bus and Brian, Adam and I had Mr. Huang drive us up there and drop us off a little later. The rooms were basic, but clean and the grounds were really gorgeous. Breakfast Sunday morning was in the same dining room as dinner- bread, jam, fried eggs, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, and some kind of meat stuff&#46...

IT IS WHAT IT IS!: January 2009

http://cjandkim.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

IT IS WHAT IT IS! Our Family - The unedited version. Monday, January 19, 2009. The Year of the Ox. If you are at all familiar with Chinese New Year you will understand that at the Roberts house 2009 is the Year of the Cow, the Year of the Chicken, and the Year of the Dog. For the past couple of years Keaton has wanted to follow in his dad's footsteps. We were able to buy some land behind our house, get it fenced, and now we have cows. You can't by just one, according to CJ, so we have two. Ashley and Adr...

IT IS WHAT IT IS!: The Big Guy Turns 37

http://cjandkim.blogspot.com/2009/03/birthday-boy.html

IT IS WHAT IT IS! Our Family - The unedited version. Thursday, March 19, 2009. The Big Guy Turns 37. Later we met with some friends and the missionaries for a discussion. Kim (not me) brought a chocolate cream pie and the missionaries brought balloons. CJ really appreciated their thoughtfulness. CJ and I started dating when he was sixteen, so WOW, that's quite a few birthdays together. I hope he had a great day because we think he is a pretty great DAD! CJ pretty much embraces everything whole-heartedly!

IT IS WHAT IT IS!: December 2008

http://cjandkim.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

IT IS WHAT IT IS! Our Family - The unedited version. Monday, December 1, 2008. So last week at school the annual turkey trot was held. The older kids have to run a mile and the younger kids have to run 1/2 mile. Kennedy didn't want us to come and watch her so she wouldn't tell us what time her grade was running. We went anyway and got there just in time to see her cross the finish line. She came in 4th place for her grade! Way to go Kennedy! Way to go Klayson! I was so sad that I missed it.

Life in Beijing: Overloaded

http://lifeinbj.blogspot.com/2008/04/overloaded.html

Tuesday, April 15, 2008. One of the things I enjoy seeing in Beijing is all of the trucks and bicycles that are overloaded. For some reason, it never ceases to amaze me to see how much people can fit on a truck, a tractor, or a bicycle. I appreciate the creativity they use to see how much they can carry at one time. I have to admire someone who can fit that much on a bike and keep on texting while going down the road. He probably has a large load like that every day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life in Beijing: The Bike Ride

http://lifeinbj.blogspot.com/2008/05/bike-ride.html

Friday, May 2, 2008. I took these pictures later in the day when I went back with Jacob in the car and tried to figure out where I had been. They are all taken with my mobile phone so the quality is so so, at best.). I love these bike roads because I get a chance to get away from the touristy and business sections of Beijing and see life. I actually took this picture near our house. It is not an unusual sight for us but you don't see things like this everyday in Utah. A very dusty road. Smallville is ver...

IT IS WHAT IT IS! Our Family - The unedited version. Sunday, January 24, 2010. It's A Lot Like Laundry. How does this tie to blogging? NO, I AM NOT pregnant. (Just still fat from having Olivia three years ago.). Well its about time you post something! January 24, 2010 at 10:18 PM. I was so SURPRISED, pleasantly of course, to see that there was a new post on your blog. Just imagine all the laundry I have to do today. I am frowning just thinking about it. A Postcard From Life

A Postcard From Life. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. So it has been a very long time since I last updated this blog, over a year to be exact. Mainly because life has been so busy that I haven’t found the time to write. But tonight as both of my kids are tucked safely in their beds, I can’t quit thinking about those 26 families in CT who would give anything to tuck their loved one into bed. Hug your babies a little longer and be grateful for all time you have with them. Tuesday, March 1, 2011. She does an ...
