The river is tidal so at breakfast you may catch a sailing boat gliding by and over lunch you could be watching a clutch of dunlins nosing for food in the mud of the river bank. The pleasures of Rye's cobbled streets are barely 5 minutes walk. Golf courses can also be found at nearby St Leonard's and Seddlescombe Golf Club.
