Gustate et videte: This Is All That I Can Say Right Now
http://cutieroede-theology.blogspot.com/2007/04/this-is-all-that-i-can-say-right-now.html
Sunday, April 1, 2007. This Is All That I Can Say Right Now. Who knows how to speak this way, or more importantly—live this way? Is there still a prophetic voice and radical living somewhere? I think there is. I have seen glimpses of actual kingdom living. This then begs the question, why is this grace, truth, and shalom not being proclaimed, spread, and exhorted? Have we lost our confidence and potency? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. This Is All That I Can Say Right Now.

Gustate et videte: Resolutions and Definitions

Friday, April 6, 2007. What God knows=that which he loves=Reality. Final chapter: Love—it’s all you need. I thought his case could have benefited from the linguistic structure of “give” and “receive” but he’s the author. I heartily disliked his conclusion of mutually allowed objectification I sigh deeply and beg him to be careful with language. Why not mutual subjectivity? May 8, 2007 at 11:16 PM. Gustate et videte: Quid What?!?!
http://cutieroede-theology.blogspot.com/2007/02/quid-what.html
Friday, February 9, 2007. Okay, D and I kinda got stuck on the whole sinful nature of Jesus thing so here are some thoughts. If Jesus took on a sinful nature but didn’t sin, where did the redemption of that nature take place? Was it in the crucifixion or in the larger story of him taking on and living with this nature inso redeeming it? Given the Eastern, dare I say, more holistic view, I would assume that Gregory would affirm the later. Where did the term sinful nature come from anyway? As time progress...

Gustate et videte: Gregory of Nazianzus
http://cutieroede-theology.blogspot.com/2007/02/gregory-of-nazianzus.html
Monday, February 12, 2007. So since we talked about a lot of our topics in class, I’m gonna write about some other things so you don’t have to go through yet another overview of GregoryII. They might be random and choppy and I have more questions than statements but it makes it more fun to read…. What is the role of Theology? If non-orthodoxy or even trying to articulate orthodoxy is foolish, then is the role of theology to defend this indefinable thing against false articulation and loose definitions?

Friday, February 23, 2007. I can’t play the games anymore. I don’t care about what someone said about what someone else said about something. Okay, I care, but only to a point. I appreciate concern for being true to what someone said and whatever but I care more about the content of a good truly biblical theology that makes a difference in the world. So let’s talk about this idea of sanctification as something that matters and not just a fun academic exercise eh? What about in wars? If our good works are...

Gustate et videte: Fear of Commitment
http://cutieroede-theology.blogspot.com/2007/04/fear-of-commitment.html
Thursday, April 26, 2007. After reading the first half of Christ and Culture,. My response came from a wonderfully friendly elf: “I’m in love, I’m in love, I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it! Then Ward and I had a falling out when I read an entire chapter on the circumcision of Jesus. I understand the point…but seriously. Then I got bored. Think in terms of "postmodern fundamentalism" coupled with "a concern for erotic metaphors" and generally britishness and you have it. May 8, 2007 at 10:44 PM.
