A Quilt A Week: Quilt 37 - Raspberries!
http://www.aquiltaweek.blogspot.com/2015/07/quilt-36-raspberries.html
A Quilt A Week. A Challenge to Finish Some Quilts. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Quilt 37 - Raspberries! I officially quit doing long arm quilting for others this past week when I had another birthday pass. After nine years, I thought it was time to get moving on some more of my quilts. It was a hard decision as I had so many wonderful customers but I can already tell I made the right decision! Here is the first quilt I made with leftovers from another quilt. I've always been a fan of strippy quilts!
A Quilt A Week: Quilts 32 & 33!
http://www.aquiltaweek.blogspot.com/2014/12/quilts-32-33.html
A Quilt A Week. A Challenge to Finish Some Quilts. Monday, December 22, 2014. Quilts 32 and 33! I took scraps from Lacey's baby quilt and made this quilt for a baby girl. It's always amazing how many scraps you have left over, isn't it? Here it is quilted with some hearts and daisies! Then, scraps still left, I made this dolly quilt for Lacey for Christmas. She loves her baby dolls and always has several in her crib at night with her. I used a soft minkie for the back. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Quilt A Week. A Challenge to Finish Some Quilts. Saturday, November 8, 2014. Quilt 31 - A Cat for Dana! An 8" quilt for a friend's 70th birthday. Our group makes birthday quilts for special years and this time, it will be small quilts all attached to each other. Can you tell? Don't know why but I always like to see the backs of quilts! A Quilt A Week. A Challenge to Finish Some Quilts. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Quilt 24 - Construction Quilt 2. It's been a year now since I began this blog to see how many quilts I could get done and reduce my stash. I did not make a quilt a week but I have completed 23 quilts. One of the quilts listed took about a week but it was strictly quilting for someone else. So, has my stash been reduced in size? Here is the most recent quilt. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Quilting by Judith: December 2014

Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. 2014 Coming to a Close. It has been quite a while since I've posted so I will try to catch up before we are in the New Year! In November I went on a mission trip to Nicaragua with a group from our church. We have been sponsoring some children to go to a Christian school there and I was able to meet them in person after corresponding for almost four years. This is Angely. . . Maria . . . It was a truly great trip!

Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Saturday, June 27, 2015. More Dear Jane Blocks and Quilt Retreat! I'm not sure how many years I'll be posting these Dear Jane blocks until I get a finished quilt but at least I am now past the halfway point - yay! There are 225 blocks and I've finished 115. Our small group had a quilt retreat for a week and I got a lot accomplished that week. Four more triangles made . . . So, a REDO. Glad I did! If you wonder why Nancy's. I did not get a pictur...
Quilting by Judith: Easy Peasy Strip Quilt
http://quiltingbyjudith.blogspot.com/2011/04/easy-peasy-strip-quilt.html
Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Friday, April 8, 2011. Easy Peasy Strip Quilt. This quilt could be called "The Fabric Makes the Quilt" because that is exactly what I was wanting to highlight. Not a fancy design, lots of piecing, etc, but just the beautiful colors all put together for a baby quilt - the raspberry color being the key that the mom had chosen for the nursery. I found these fabrics at Sweet Home Quilt Company. And designed my own simple quilt. I bought 5/8 yd of th...

Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Monday, January 26, 2015. Black and White BOM 2010. In 2010, our small quilt group began this BOM at Quilts 'n Stitchins in Jonesboro. I collected my blocks - most of them - $1 each - and sewed two. Others finished their quilts years ago but mine were aging in their little plastic baggies. Here are scraps left for the border which I still need to cut. Stitch when you can! Labels: Black and White BOM. Monday, January 12, 2015. I got a little appl...
Quilting by Judith: Cinderella
http://quiltingbyjudith.blogspot.com/2015/07/cinderella.html
Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Sunday, July 19, 2015. This quilt began as a Mystery Swap of blocks in the nineties with my quilt guild. We met mornings and evenings and since one group did not have many sign ups, I did a swap in both groups. So, I had double the amount of blocks to make, which meant I had enough for two quilts. The first quilt I made can be seen here - Teal We Meet Again! Anyone recognize some of these golden oldies? I pieced the back with lots of purples I h...
Quilting by Judith: Pieceful Hearts Quilt Show
http://quiltingbyjudith.blogspot.com/2007/10/pieceful-hearts-quilt-show-october-29.html
Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Monday, October 29, 2007. Pieceful Hearts Quilt Show. Thank you, my PHQ friends for the wonderful memories! This is Wayne's Travel quilt and it won first place in the large Bed category. Many photos of our trips to Utah and other national parks out west. This was a quilt using up some of my stash of thirties reproduction fabrics and several different whites are in the background. Still have more thirties left, though. January 25, 2010 at 8:05 PM.
Quilting by Judith: Black & White Quilts
http://quiltingbyjudith.blogspot.com/2015/07/black-white-quilts.html
Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Friday, July 3, 2015. Black and White Quilts. I finished up the Black and White BOM for 2010 recently. Here is a picture of it on a bed. And a close up. This is another black and white quilt I made several years ago. I want to show how some of the black and whites have faded. These were all quilt shop quality fabrics. This is a little closer up with the backing showing. And this is really close up. I used EQ7. To make my pattern and quilt layout.
Quilting by Judith: March 2015
http://quiltingbyjudith.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Saturday, March 7, 2015. Dear Jane and Black and White BOM. Last week I was able to get some more Dear Jane blocks completed. I needed to fill in the blanks on Row E, as I had chosen some of the simpler ones to sew first. Imagine that! So now Rows A - E are complete, plus some more for a total of 85 blocks! Remember, these are 4.5" finished! I just like to do close-ups for the details. A little set in seam here. And one more to complete the row!

Quilting by Judith - Sharing my quilts and bits of my life. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Dear Jane Blocks and Camouflage Quilt. I did manage to do a set in seam on this one! Maybe there is hope for my sewing skills - lol! Lots of appliqué to keep from piecing the curves. More applique . . . And even more. Whoops, I see a tiny bit of red bleeding. May have to redo this block or at least try rinsing it again. This quilt was made for a special young man. It was washed and to UPS by Monday afternoon. I used the st...

A Quilt and a Prayer
A QUILT and a PRAYER. WE SPECIALIZE IN LONG-ARM QUILTING. PHOTOS- - - - PRICES- - - -CONTACT. Welcome to my website! I remember the first time I took a quilt top to a Long Arm quilter to finish, for meIt was excruciating! I felt like I was leaving part of myself! After all, that quilt was hours, if not weeks of my life and it had been put together with love in each stitch. But I needed my project finished,so I did leave it. I said all that to say: I understand your anxiety!

A Quilt A Week
A Quilt A Week. A Challenge to Finish Some Quilts. Sunday, July 19, 2015. Cinderella, made with a PHQ swap in the nineties. I had the blocks all together with the QNM June 1995, waiting to be sewn. Not sure why I waited so long to make this quilt but it is completed and will make a nice travel quilt. It finished at 76" x 100" so is a nice large twin. Lots of different fabrics on the back, using many of my purples from back in the nineties, too. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Quilt 38 - Under the Sea! This is t...

A Quilt Complex
This is to document my love of and obsession with fabric and quilts! The true, guilty story of buying "just a little bit more", of shopping at thrift stores for the extra large mens shirts to use in your next quilt.and yes.even eyeing up your best friends blouse wondering if she'd notice if you "borrowed" it and just how many 2 inch strips you could get out of it! Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Will have to get a good pic and then will upload it! Sunday, February 14, 2016. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. This i...
