A Quilting Mother's Journey
A Quilting Mother's Journey. A blog chronicling my adventures in quilting, sewing, crafting and knitting. Wednesday, February 19, 2014. I finally finished this one. I started it before we moved last year. It's made of vegetable dyed organic cotton fat quarters. They were from Robert Kaufman I think. It measures about 76" x 92". The pattern is Turning 20 Again. I decided on this pattern because I had about 22 of these fat quarters and I really wanted to use them all in one quilt. Thanks for stopping by!

A Quilting Sheep
More Sew Sweet Blocks. Almost all of my Sew Sweet Bee. Now, I have been calling them Pinwheel Stars because of the little pinwheel in the center, but I knew. There was a name for this block, but I couldn't remember. Then, one day it hit me.It's a LeMoyne Star, but not made traditionally with diamond pieces and set in with Y seams. I feel pretty silly for not figuring that out until weeks later! Can I still call it a Pinwheel Star. This block is from Cassie. She has darling things in her Etsy shop. Aren't...

A Quilt in the Making
A Quilt in the Making. Monday, June 18, 2012. Yes, the whole ribbon thing is perfectly fine, just like I thought. It will be hard to show it here, since I don't have the digital copy anymore and the paper one is crumply and foldy and not very photogenic, but the two tweaks I talked about this morning went pretty much as expected. I think both top and bottom ribbon parts are basically under control. What if it's haaaaaaaaard? Getting the house in order. Maybe a little. But I also wrote that whole long...
