A Quilting Mother's Journey

A Quilting Mother's Journey. A blog chronicling my adventures in quilting, sewing, crafting and knitting. Wednesday, February 19, 2014. I finally finished this one. I started it before we moved last year. It's made of vegetable dyed organic cotton fat quarters. They were from Robert Kaufman I think. It measures about 76" x 92". The pattern is Turning 20 Again. I decided on this pattern because I had about 22 of these fat quarters and I really wanted to use them all in one quilt. Thanks for stopping by!

A Quilting Mother's Journey. A blog chronicling my adventures in quilting, sewing, crafting and knitting. Monday, April 11, 2011. Volunteer Sewing and Family Pics. Thought I'd also share some family photos, we had our portraits done at JCPenny this last weekend. I found out that it's nearly impossible for all six of us to face the same way and smile at the same time. I like that they aren't perfect though, it shows everyone's personality. Check them out here. Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

A Quilting Mother's Journey. A blog chronicling my adventures in quilting, sewing, crafting and knitting. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. I made this sweet little ball for my daughter from the book I ♥ Patchwork. By Rashida Coleman-Hale. I could make every project from this book. I used linen and scraps from my stash. It was my first go at english paper piecing and it was fun, I'm sure I'll do it again, not sure if I could make a quilt, but these small projects are not too time consuming. Monday, June 25, 2012.

A Quilting Mother's Journey. A blog chronicling my adventures in quilting, sewing, crafting and knitting. Monday, June 25, 2012. A Mystery Part 3, Top Finished. I just realized I totally forgot to post about part 2 (I posted part 1 here. It was mostly cutting anyway, but here it is finished. It was fun just picking fabrics without worrying about the final design. It's queen size so I think it's going to be a topper for my bed, about time I kept a quilt for myself! Now to get quilting.
