Als de mens niet tot de kunst komt. Komt de kunst daar waar de mens vertoeft. Met de huidige economische situatie worden onze steden geconfronteerd met een. Groeiende leegstand van winkelruimte. Volgens een studie uitgevoerd door Unizo loopt deze in België op tot momenteel 14% van de beschikbare handelsruimtes. Kortrijk ontsnapt niet aan deze trend, maar waar de andere steden, gemiddeld, een status quo aan bezoekers hebben is het bezoekersaantal in 2011 met 7% gestegen. Sneller een nieuwe uitbater.

Chantal Bossuwé is geboren te Kortrijk op 20 oktober 1953. Chantal komt uit een kunstzinnige familie waar het penseel en de doeken nooit ver weg lagen. Vandaar misschien dat zij reeds vanaf haar prille jeugd op de banken van de stedelijke kunstacademie te vinden was.
