Behind The Pencil...: Jingle Bulb trees
http://susanmillerillustrations.blogspot.com/2014/01/jingle-bulb-trees.html
Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Here we are at the end of another JingleBulb. Season and I asked for pictures of some JingleBulb trees. This is one of my favorites, Linda was a wonderful teacher that my daughter had in nursery school. Her children have been collecting them for her ever since. With Emily now 23, she has quite a large collection. Its beautiful. Here is Emilys tree, she decorates her room at her place every year. This is a detail of an ornament I had done for her when she was little.

Behind The Pencil...
http://susanmillerillustrations.blogspot.com/2015/01/this-is-house-my-sister-gave-me.html
Friday, January 2, 2015. This is the house my sister gave me. She found it at a tag sale and she had it for a while, I fell in love with it, then it became mine. In this picture it is dressed up for Christmas. I imagine some German grandfather working on it for his grandchild. Still a work in progress but this is how far I have gotten. I painted some furniture, decided to not put in a kitchen and a bathroom so I could add the studio and another bedroom. Two more interesting rooms. Dust of Everyday Life.

Saturday, September 13, 2014. February 28, 2015 at 8:57 AM. I love this picture! I am planning a mermaid party for children at the public library where I work and would love the puzzle as a handout. Is there a copy of the artwork minus the stickers available? Could I purchase the page with stickers in quantity? Do you know which issue of the Highlights magazine in which it appeared? Thanks for any info. February 28, 2015 at 5:53 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dust of Everyday Life.

Behind The Pencil...: A book proposal in 30 days...
http://susanmillerillustrations.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-book-proposal-in-30-days.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. A book proposal in 30 days. In June I attended the SCBWI conference here in Orlando Florida. The project was to come up with a wordless, or limited word picture book, I had this idea for a while,. The challenge was to pull this together in 30 days. I got some worthwhile feedback from the editor Martha Rago, which I appreciated. Labels: Royalty littering King Queen Princess walk in the woods elves. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Behind The Pencil...: My new Brush markers
http://susanmillerillustrations.blogspot.com/2014/10/my-new-brush-markers.html
Sunday, October 19, 2014. My new Brush markers. I have always loved the thick and thin of brush markers. I found one that has permanent ink, its the Pentel Brush marker, I love it. I bought a couple of other markers, but this is my favorite by far. I also love my Copic markers. So, this is an example of what I have been doing in my sketchbook. I have had to get used to not getting the art just where I wanted it, my sketchbook is a place to make mistakes and be free. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
