Charlton Stitcher: Playing with pixels, windows and bridges
http://charltonstitcher.blogspot.com/2015/07/playing-with-pixels-and-bridges.html
Working with mixed media stitched textiles gives me great pleasure. As well as the joy in the art of making and exploring, there are the friendships formed as work grows. Monday, 27 July 2015. Playing with pixels, windows and bridges. I'm going to eastern Scotland and the Orkney Islands soon and I'm going to take print outs of some images that I've generated as a result of the Pixeladies. I recently found myself buying a small selection of threads from Patricia Wood of Mulberry Silks. I'm still trying to...

Charlton Stitcher: December 2014
http://charltonstitcher.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Working with mixed media stitched textiles gives me great pleasure. As well as the joy in the art of making and exploring, there are the friendships formed as work grows. Sunday, 28 December 2014. Cotswolds and New Year greetings. Before Christmas, I was so busy preparing for the arrival of family visitors that my intended post didn't appear. We had a wonderful time - busy, noisy and great fun and the grandchildren were a delight as always. Friday, 19 December 2014. Flavour of the year. It has seemed thi...

Vivien Zepf: New Work - A Circle Study
http://sevenpinesdesigns.blogspot.com/2015/07/new-work-circle-study.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. New Work - A Circle Study. I'm playing with the organic circle idea that made its first appearance in Champagne Dance. Formerly titled Champagne Circles. Here's an 11.5" x 11.5" study. The orange strip is made of bits and pieces left over from Champagne Dance. I'm debating if I should call this Circle Study I. My son's suggestion is Cosmic Sunset. What do you think? I like your sons suggestion. Or use both of them, Circle Study! July 28, 2015 at 9:29 AM. New York, United States.

hilda's hideout: Finally warming up...
http://hildashideout.blogspot.com/2015/05/finally-warming-up.html
Friday, May 29, 2015. I haven't complained about the cooler spring. Putting off the heat of summer is fine with me. The best flowers are those planted by nature, and this year the primroses are loving the cooler weather and rain. My good friend, Rosie, reminded me of the name of this delicate little flower (weed).scarlet guara. It's also having a good year. There is nothing more entertaining than watching kitties play. Now back to laundry and quilting! Friday, May 29, 2015. Of birds and apricots.

hilda's hideout: December 2014
http://hildashideout.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 22, 2014. With Dale's help I was able to finish the fobots I had started way back when. I had parked the pieces parts on a tray in the garage- the man cave, and he had put them up in the rafters. I remembered them, and yesterday afternoon we got them finished. I also finished our advent calendar. I decided we'll just keep decorating the little tree until it's done, a little charm or milagro a day and that way we'll get to enjoy it for a while. Better late than never! Eve of the Solstice.

hilda's hideout: June 2015

Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Orphan blocks, of course. Crystal. Put out a call for orphan blocks on her blog. In looking for some to send her, I decided to put together a quilt from some of the orphans I've gotten. I'm not much of a piecer, but I had some blocks to send her along with more fabric squares that I had used to make the blocks. I believe they were Liberty of London fabrics that just didn't inspire me. Now back to cooking. Pat. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. I've been busy quilting...

Books Related to Quilting. Good Tutorials I’ve Found. My Quilts – 2010 and Earlier. My Quilts – 2010 to 2014. My Quilts – 2015 On. My Quilts – 2010 and Earlier. I want to show how my quilts have changed (or not) over time, so I’m grouping together pictures of ones made four or more years ago here. This kaleidoscope quilt was finished about 2005, but in 2014 I decided it needed way more quilting, so I added a fair amount. One of two Lost at Sea quilts. The quilting pattern is from John Flynn. MILLYPENNY: An Grianan
http://millypenny.blogspot.com/2014/09/an-grianan.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. A few weeks ago, I spent the weekend at An Grianan with a group of like-minded friends. We had great fun over the weekend, either sewing or messing around with dyes and paints. It was lovely to have a venue where you could keep working and have your meals served up to you, so no time wasted in cooking etc. I forgot to take many photographs as I was messing around around with gloves, dyes and paints. A photo from our Show and Tell meeting on the Saturday night. Dawnput your ha...

MILLYPENNY: Gender Stereotypes
http://millypenny.blogspot.com/2015/02/gender-stereotypes.html
Monday, February 2, 2015. I made this quilt "Gender Stereotype" for the Cork Textile Network "In Unison" exhibition that was held in December. Most of the fabric in this piece was jelly-printed. Not printed with the gelli-plates but with a block of real jelly (Chivers Jelly) which works surprisingly well for printing. I have a number of quilts in progress at the moment, but most of them can't be shown yet (round robin projects, exhibition quilts etc.). Monday, February 02, 2015. View my complete profile.
