Vivien Zepf: June 2015

http://sevenpinesdesigns.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Working in a Series. If that's the case, I think I may be turning into one of "them", one of those artist who works in a series. First I made Betwixt. I recently finished Champagne Dance. Champagne Dance, 40" x 40". A few years ago I thought of using circles as my theme in a Working in a Series class with Lisa Call. But I chickened out; circles seemed so juvenile and un-artistic (with a little "a", not a big "A" for Artistic). Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Crazy (not Lazy) Days of Summer.

Vivien Zepf: July 2015

http://sevenpinesdesigns.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 27, 2015. New Work - A Circle Study. I'm playing with the organic circle idea that made its first appearance in Champagne Dance. Formerly titled Champagne Circles. Here's an 11.5" x 11.5" study. The orange strip is made of bits and pieces left over from Champagne Dance. I'm debating if I should call this Circle Study I. My son's suggestion is Cosmic Sunset. What do you think? Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Photo I posted recently on Instagram and Facebook. I'm reviewing how I spend my time to maxim...

Vivien Zepf: The Broad Museum in LA

http://sevenpinesdesigns.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-broad-museum-in-la.html

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The Broad Museum in LA. Eli Broad spoke of collecting art in the Robb Report by saying. The museum stands next to the Disney Concert Hall and has an elegant facade made of white oblong openings, that's raised at the corners to welcome visitors. Photo from the Robb Report. This lovely facade reminds me a bit of the black, lace-like exterior of the Galerie de la Mediterranee in Marseilles, France. Getting a glimpse into someone's mind and thoughts that would. You can read it here.

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Where I've Been and What I've Been Doing. That's right - I've been to Wonderland and back again! We threw a Sweet Sixteen bash for my middle daughter last weekend and the theme was "The Mad Hatter's Tea Party." So for the last month or so, we've been getting ready, by painting signs like the ones above, making tall flowers like the ones below (from pool noodles and tissue paper! But now I need a vacation! http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Friday, September 12, 2014. The person who received my bag of goodies was unable to attend the meeting due to a family emergency, so next month I get to see what she made. Something to look forward to! I'm not sure if I'll make these into a book or some kind of wall hanging. They are certainly too beautiful to be stuck in a drawer somewhere, don't you agree? Wednesday, September 3, 2014. http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Sunday, June 22, 2014. Jane Davila, the facilitator of the FANE group I meet with monthly, had an idea for a fun summer swap project. All the participants put some craft items into a brown lunch bag and then we all swapped bags. I won't show you what I put in my bag, but above is a photo of the supplies I received: some stamps, some glass beads, and some soft paper flower embellishments. Here is the white fabric with the flowers stamped on:. I ironed some of th...

Fabrications: Spring III

http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2015/04/spring-iii.html

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Sunday, April 12, 2015. My third piece (out of 5) for the FANE cube project is just about finished! Once Easter was over, I was able to spend my days off buckling down on the applique of the grape hyacinths (don't you just love a lawn inundated with grape hyacinths in early spring? Hope I can keep the momentum going for the next two weeks. I think these panels are lovely, Cindy! We want to see them all! April 15, 2015 at 7:47 PM. April 16, 2015 at 9:20 AM.

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Saturday, January 31, 2015. Last Day of January. January is probably my least favorite month of the year and it always seemed soooo loooong. Between the end of the holiday festivities and the beginning of the frigid winter weather, January always seemed so bleak and unending. But the days, weeks and months seem to be passing more quickly than ever, and here it is, January 31st already! Where did the month go? Tuesday, January 27, 2015. And since we had enough a...

http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Saturday, February 28, 2015. Every few days, I see the weather forecast, hoping that it will show a warming trend. And every forecast for the whole month has been the same: cold, cold, and more cold! I keep thinking, it can't go on much longer, but tomorrow is the first of March and we are looking forward to another 6 inches of snow. Sheesh! And here's where it's headed. I intend to add another bird in flight and a nest among the branches. The days just fly by!

FiberArt Northeast: July 2010

http://fiberartnortheast.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 4, 2010. An Arty Play Day. Back in May, our group sponsored an Arty Play Day for interested and available members. It was held in a local high school's chemistry lab, which was perfect - running water and indestructible surfaces. We had plenty of room to spread out and everyone worked on their own project/process for the day. It was fantastic and we all got a lot done while having a great time. Joyce prepared to wet-felt some fibers together. Barbara tried her hand at shaving cream marbling.

Seven Pines Bernese Mountain Dogs

Welcome to Seven Pines. Our house is located in the lovely woods of western Wisconsin on the shores of the Eau Galle river. We live in an old log house that the locals know as Seven Pines Farm, which is where our kennel name came from. We enjoy walking in the woods with our dogs, who are much-loved companions first and foremost. We feel strongly that showing our dogs in conformation, as well as proving their working ability is very important. Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America www.bmdca.org. We feel th...
