The collage of my life: A work in progress...
Fabrications: October 2014
http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
The collage of my life: A work in progress. Friday, October 31, 2014. Spider webs and eerie lights on the railing. Cute little ghost hanging near the front door. Bags of candy in a bowl near the door for easy access. Whimsical Halloween banner hanging in the entryway. Fake jack-o-lantern glowing in the front window. Miscellaneous horns, ears, tails, wigs and hats just in case. Some orange and black cupcakes, just because. Halloween, bring it on! Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Thursday, October 23, 2014.

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Saturday, February 28, 2015. Every few days, I see the weather forecast, hoping that it will show a warming trend. And every forecast for the whole month has been the same: cold, cold, and more cold! I keep thinking, it can't go on much longer, but tomorrow is the first of March and we are looking forward to another 6 inches of snow. Sheesh! And here's where it's headed. I intend to add another bird in flight and a nest among the branches. The days just fly by!
Fabrications: Spring III
http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2015/04/spring-iii.html
The collage of my life: A work in progress. Sunday, April 12, 2015. My third piece (out of 5) for the FANE cube project is just about finished! Once Easter was over, I was able to spend my days off buckling down on the applique of the grape hyacinths (don't you just love a lawn inundated with grape hyacinths in early spring? Hope I can keep the momentum going for the next two weeks. I think these panels are lovely, Cindy! We want to see them all! April 15, 2015 at 7:47 PM. April 16, 2015 at 9:20 AM.
Fabrications: Hoppy Easter!
http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2015/04/hoppy-easter.html
The collage of my life: A work in progress. Sunday, April 5, 2015. We're only having 4 guests for dinner, but I've been prepping all week! How do you like the little bunny dirt cups (chocolate pudding sprinkled with oreo crumbs and tinted coconut)? Easy and cute - couldn't resist (saw them on Pinterest). I also baked bunny buns (although they look a little like cats) . . . And chocolate-coconut birdnests . . . I dipped strawberries . . . Now all we need is our guests! It all looks so beautiful!
Fabrications: Good Things!
http://cindygreen.blogspot.com/2015/03/good-things.html
The collage of my life: A work in progress. Friday, March 27, 2015. There's still a good deal of snow in the backyard and I wandered down there this afternoon to give Cassie a little fresh air and playtime and there they were, pushing themselves right up out of the snow! Seems like a miracle, since the big picture still looks very bleak and wintry. Sometimes you have to look very closely to find the bright spot! Now they're brightening up the whole kitchen. And I started on the next piece. I painted ...

Please click on the tabs for work, bio and extra features. Monday, June 29, 2015. All of my publicity paid off and the reception was very crowded. For the first hour and a half it was wall to wall people. I was losing my voice from talking so much, meeting old and new friends, explaining pieces and techniques. Beautiful arrangements gracing my home thanks to out of town relatives. Out of town relatives. Part of the crowd scene. Explaining how I did it. FiberArt Northeast: July 2010
http://fiberartnortheast.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 4, 2010. An Arty Play Day. Back in May, our group sponsored an Arty Play Day for interested and available members. It was held in a local high school's chemistry lab, which was perfect - running water and indestructible surfaces. We had plenty of room to spread out and everyone worked on their own project/process for the day. It was fantastic and we all got a lot done while having a great time. Joyce prepared to wet-felt some fibers together. Barbara tried her hand at shaving cream marbling.

FiberArt Northeast: Architectural Elements at Etui
http://fiberartnortheast.blogspot.com/2014/04/architectural-elements-at-etui.html
Monday, April 14, 2014. Architectural Elements at Etui. It would carry some fabrics, yarns and other fiber related items and would have a small gallery in front. It sounded perfect. And it was! We decided on the theme of Architectural Elements and the size was restricted to 14" wide by no more than 20" high. There would also be some pedestals and some members opted to make freestanding pieces that would fit into narrow wooden stands. Here are the quilts, in no particular order:. Rapunzel by Sonia Rieber.

Notes from Norma: Quilted and Bound
http://notesfromnorma.blogspot.com/2015/08/quilted-and-bound.html
Please click on the tabs for work, bio and extra features. Saturday, August 1, 2015. Here are the three 12 x 12's that I showed you last week, now quilted and bound. I did a combination of straight line quilting with the walking foot and free-motion quilting in angular designs. I still have to mount them on their black background, but that will be later. I am especially liking the yellow one and think I may make a big quilt. I need to get more Dupioni silks since I am running low. View my complete profile.

The collage of my life: A work in progress. Saturday, December 31, 2016. I'm not sure this was totally successful, but here's my finished aquarium. It was challenging and fun, and was the last piece of fiber art I created in 2016! Downstairs in the family room there were also lots of old photos and unimportant knick-knacks. I weeded through them and replaced many photos with some of my favorites from the last few years. I had many visits with good friends and neighbors, but the highlight of the season wa...
