So you say empty nesters? The trip that started it all. NoDay 5 – another great day. We are so blessed. Just spent 5 days with our family and it felt like it went by in a moment. We are so proud of Alex and Courtney and Morgan. Today we hung out by the pool and spotted the iguana tree, who knew…. Today we went to the Weston for breakfast, had to take the Jeep out one more time, and refill the 1/4 of a tank of gas before turning it back. On August 8, 2016 in Uncategorized. Our last day in Washington DC did not disappoint. Robert, Alex and I met up at 8:00am to get to the starting line of the Cherry Blossom 10 mile run to see if we could spot Courtney among the 15,000 or so runners and as God would have it we did! We saw her about half way through and then again at the finish line. She did amazing!

So you say empty nesters? The trip that started it all. So the final day of chapter four, the ride from Lubbock to Rockwall. Started the day in the usual way, coffee, gas, sunscreen, sightseeing… ok so the sightseeing part may have been over played. After a quick stop to see the new 4OUR complex, seems to be a TopGolf competitor, I was onto 19. Street east and headed home. Leaving town I believe I counted 3.7 million Prairie dogs along east 19. Ok so on with the ride, 83 south at Guthrie, then 380 east.

The question is not, 'Can they reason? Nor, 'Can they talk? But rather, 'Can they suffer? Look into the soulful eyes of Freeway, Gracie, Nellie, and Mojave and they will tell you a story. Gracie was turned into a high kill shelter as a stray and was scheduled to be euthanized because she had kennel cough. Lucky Dog Rescue stepped in and took Gracie into their custody.
