Monday, 9 January 2017. Happy New Year and welcome back to a new term and a new year at Ascot International School! The past term was a busy one for our students. Throughout the term the students participated in a variety of activities such as, House Colours Day, Book Week and Clive PiG's visit, Performance Exchange Workshop, KPIS Spelling Bee, U9 TISAC football games, field trips, learning journey conferences. Between parents and their children. With our school eagerly developing our Unit of Inquiry.

Friday, January 6, 2017. January 3rd to January 6th, 2017. This week, we studied different types of poetry such as a Cinquain, Tanka and Rhyming Couplet. We then used them to describe nature in preparation for our residential. Use mental multiplication and division strategies; find non-unit fractions of 2-digit and 3-digit numbers; find equivalent fractions and use them to simplify fractions (halves, thirds, quarters). Monday, May 25, 2015. Who lives in a house like this. As an intermission from our hammering and sawing, the children learnt about various other types of birds. We have seen a selection of birds from around Thailand provided by our Headteacher Mr Booth. We looked at the way birds move, saw some of the biggest and smallest, and discussed their natural behaviours. We got down to some gluing and painting. Children are provided with a variety of resources and are free to create from their own impressions.

Sunday, 28 June 2015. Wednesday, 17 June 2015. Today we were quite busy in the classroom. We made Jellyfish and we started by cutting. We then gave it some colour by painting it orange. We stuffed our teddy bears that we made yesterday to give it some softness. We began with out plastic bottle fish by mixing the paint and giving it eyes. Tuesday, 16 June 2015. The kids really love the ambulance we made in the classroom. Ton Aor was tracing her hand. Ally soon joined in. NeNe soon joined the drawing table.

Tuesday, 23 June 2015. So sorry for the late post. This one should have actually gone up last week. Thanks for your patience! This is the rhinoceros beetle we found in the classroom last week. It was pretty big but friendly and we decided to see if we could build a home for it. It was great fun and produced some beautiful pieces of art as you can see.
