Ashley's 8 Day Challenge. Monday, 28 May 2012. Day 1 - Penzance to Land's End, Land's End to Wellington, Somerset (174 miles) - What on earth have I let myself in for! B&B (Mantle Cottage, Wellington). 9/10. Friendly service, safe place to keep bike, very nice room, was served breakfast (jam on toast, cereal and strawberries and cream at 6am), reasonable value. Edinburgh Marathon 5/10 - atmosphere pretty good, a nice course along the seafront but failed majorly in supplying enough water/jelly babies for the runners resulting in many casualties.
