Why I love great art, good books, tasty food, and Ryan. Sketches, gestures, doodles. Art, like morality, consists of drawing the line somewhere. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. Books that you may carry to the fire and hold readily in your hand, are the most useful after all. There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept. April 13th, 2013. Anyway, here it is. An introduction. - book smart, street stupid. 30 March 2007 @ 10:41 am. I'm an English major and devoted bibliophile. I love everything from science fiction to children's literature to classic literature to poetry and I rhetorically analyze and read literary criticism for fun. Therefore, if you don't love to read - enter at your own peril. (Just sayin'.). I think my interests give a pretty good idea of who I am. If you'd like to friend me, go ahead and comment. I generally welcome new friends. I lurve hi...

Best quote ever - litlover12
http://litlover12.livejournal.com/253443.html
My thoughts on books, movies, and other essentials of life. Jul 28th, 2015 at 11:47 AM. No kidding, I heard the best quote ever while listening to a Robert Greenberg Great Course yesterday. Its a touch racy, so Ill put it under a cut. . . . According to conductor Sir Thomas Beecham, the sound of a harpsichord is like two skeletons copulating on a tin roof. I will never be able to listen to a harpsichord again without thinking of this. 4 comments Leave a comment. Jul 28th, 2015 07:45 pm (UTC). The old cur...

The Tomahawk Ball - oy with the poodles already!
http://pansyprincess.livejournal.com/670715.html
Oy with the poodles already! Jun 7th, 2009 at 3:18 PM. So, the ball was fun! Order of the evening: social hour, posting of the colors, then the grog ceremony (military tradition), then toasts, then dinner. I really enjoy military ceremonies; the grog one is always particularly interesting. After dinner there was a presentation of the Order of St. Maurice and a short speech by the Guest Speaker, Kirby Wilbur. I love the back of my dress. An attempt to get a nicer backdrop, lol. Trish, my amazing FRG leade...

"Fashion" Week - oy with the poodles already!
http://pansyprincess.livejournal.com/698213.html
Oy with the poodles already! Jan 21st, 2013 at 5:17 PM. Well, hello there! Asked us to post a week's worth of outfits, which I thought was fun. I did mine over two weeks since I've been on vacation from school and wasn't always wearing real clothes every day. *cough* And of course it's taken me forever to upload them! But here they are, and excuse the terrible picture quality- my camera sucks and so does the lighting in my house. It was really cold today! This was for church and a baby shower afterward f...
