Wednesday, July 4, 2007. Hi everyone. I had an unexpected and somewhat unfortunate opportunity to mee. Of my family here in South Africa this past weekend. My friend Magdalene's mother passed suddenly, so I wrote her asking what I could do and mentioning that if she'd like, I could. Be there as early as Friday. The offer was sincere, but my American background made me anticipate a reply like . "Thanks for the offer, but why don't you send a covered dish instead? En&start=6&um=1& tbnid. http://asummerinsouthafrica.blogspot.com/2007/07/african-engagements.html

And to wish them well as they have their engagement celebration this weekend, which I will miss as I am not in the country. A Summer in Paradise

Sonntag, 24. August 2008. Last but not l...

Efter mycket om och men hittade jag låset som jag och min pojkvän hängde fast på bron i våras! Så, häng med mig till Paris i sommar! Vad det var som hände. Vamos a la playa.

Life of a Seventeen Intern

Life of a Seventeen Intern. Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Today was my last day at work! Without much sadness, I said adios to the Hearst building, never to enter again. Overall, I am very excited to be done because it means I'm that much closer to being home. Lauren (middle sis) is arriving tomorrow at around noon to spend the weekend here and help me move out. Sadly, our other sister Lindsey isn't able to come because she has the swine flu! Posted by Leah Daniels. Links to this post. Thursday, July 16, 2009.

A summer in the saddle

Sunday, 5 September 2010. Day 72 Argentia to St Johns 83 Miles. Well what a night and what a way to finish! Last night TDC decided to book us into a camp site on the top of a hill and without any cover, one toilet between 28 blokes and no facilities at all to speak of. That would of course have been fine if it had not been for the strong winds that we put our tents up in and a forecast that predicted 80km/h gusts overnight. Breakfast was uneventful until another table erupted with laughter, it transpired...

A Summer in The Son

A Summer in The Son. Monday, July 18, 2011. So it's been a few weeks since I last updated. It's hard to keep up with time here which can be a good and bad thing. I get extremely sad when I think about leaving this place in two weeks but extremely excited to be back home and at school. But I will talk about some things I've been learning in the last couple of weeks here at Summer Project. I'll leave you with this: "And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her...
