Expat Eating: Biella--Restaurant Review
http://expateating.blogspot.com/2009/05/biella-restaurant-review.html
Cooking, Eating, Entertaining, and Restauranting Tips From a Foodie Expat in Oman. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Biella is an Italian chain. There are two in Muscat I believe, both in City Center. I've only been to the one in Seeb's City Center. The first time I went several months ago, the food was good, but the service was atrocious. My husband's pizza came after everyone else was done eating. The second time was just a week ago and their timing was much better second time around! Genesis of a Cook. May 10 -...

Chocolate Pancakes with Caramel Sauce. April 23, 2008. Click picture to enlarge. As promised, here is the first derivative recipe I’m posting from my base pancake recipe found here. If you’re good at multitasking, then you can make the caramel concurrently, but if it’s your first time, I’d recommend making it first. 1/2 cup of brown sugar. 1/2 cup all purpose flour (or bread flour). 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder (be generous now). 1 Extra large egg. 1/2 cup of water/milk or liquid. April 24, 2008. Oh, th...

Tessa's Kitchen: April 2008

Sweet to savory, real life recipes from a working mom who loves to cook. Saturday, April 12, 2008. Crab and Dill Puff Appetizers. After making the Bacon and Cheese Puffs. Last weekend, I decided to try a variation of that recipe. I picked up some crab meat and some fresh dill and whipped these up this afternoon. They were lovely and light, very filling and a great change on the original recipe. 1 package cream cheese, plain, softened. 1 cup cooked crab, chopped into bits. 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese.

Cooking, Eating, Entertaining, and Restauranting Tips From a Foodie Expat in Oman. Friday, April 17, 2009. Entertain Like an Expat. Well, I don't think all expats quite make it to the level of our friends in Muscat. They are la creme de la creme of generous entertaining. Whether it's Indian curry take-out, beautifully organized for 15 people, or home-made spinach/avocado salad with chicken risotto, they are expat-entertaining knock outs. Only they don't seem to worry about it. Links to this post. To anyb...

Cooking, Eating, Entertaining, and Restauranting Tips From a Foodie Expat in Oman. Saturday, May 16, 2009. For Sushi in Muscat that isn't as good as Tokyo Taro (in al Falaj Hotel) but still pretty darn good, and cheaper, you can hit up the Jade Garden on a Thursday for their buffet. It's in the Qurum Resort next to Shatti al Qurum. Lots of sushi and shashimi, what's not to like? July 16, 2009 at 4:01 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Genesis of a Cook. Its all about Wine. Eight Months is a dream. Ghost of Christmas Past →. November 19, 2012 · 6:33 am. My iPhone is Ruining My Life. I think the iPhone is a wonderful device, and thank goodness it was around to help me level a picture I hung the other day, and yes, it takes great insta-photos of my daughter and my sandwiches and the cat sitting in a cardboard box. But I think my feelings on its merits are best summed up in a great chart. I found while googling the iPhone’s destruction of my life this morning. I still really l...
