White picket fences surround the perfectly g. Reen, manicured lawns of the Victorian era homes that line the staging area. Amid this picturesque scene, you'll find the most technical crit course in Texas. With eight 90-degree turns on fairly flat terrain, it's a fast race where hesitation is not an option and crashes can be bone-crushing.

The Wednesday ATC run was a little spooky this week—runners ran 4- and 6-mile loops en masse and in costume on the Town Lake trail, and HOKA ONE ONE and 2XU were on hand for demos and costume judging. One can get very envious, though, of contemporary super bikes like the Fuji Norcom Straight and Cervelo P5. For our test case we used a Cervelo P2 ridden by Kat Hunter, editor of this blog and ATC Racing. And the Zipp Vuka Stealth. For Kat's bike we had to stick with UCI-legal options and went with the HED Corsair.
