This pattern never stood out to me when first perusing the pages of handknit holidays. but when i saw some of these cropping up around on the internet, i started getting the itch. when i saw they were knit up in rowan cork. In 'Vapor' : 2.5 balls (had to get extra yarn. these are a mens size 12. ugh). US 5 dpn's for cuff, US 6 dpn's for the rest. Had to lenthen foot to fit my big feet. Other than that, nothin! Need to put a little elastic in these babies. Oh, one more thing: cork seems to stretch and not...

knit fix: little secrets
http://knitfix.blogspot.com/2006/04/little-secrets.html
I'm not quite sure how to start this post, do I come out with it short and sweet and go back into hiding? Or write a long story on how things worked themselves out? Funny enough, today is my blogiversary. I can't believe it's been one year since I decided to start blogging. what a weird thing to just decide and do, let me knit stuff, write about it, and maybe discuss it with other knitters. do we realize how random that sounds? But I'm glad I did! Anyway, what do I have planned? What's my little secret?

Still trying to get it all together after my month long excursion. Am I taking too long? How does everyone else get stuff done so quickly. I feel like time flies by for me. Is this what is meant by relativity? Maybe I’m just slow. Anyway. this is my last Squam blog. The final day. The TTV. TTV is short hand for through the viewfinder. Again Oh how I love that camera. The class was taught by the lovely HulaSeventy. Whom I had the pleasure of collaborating with for the Spring issue of Vain Magazine.

Knittervention: June 2006
http://knittervention.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 21, 2006. Six beginning weaving classes do not a weaver make. That said, I had a lot of. Fun learning to weave, and have signed up to take another. Class Why, I'm not really sure, since I have absolutely no fl. Oor space in my home to house a loom if I ever decide to pursue weaving in a more in-depth way. Still, I very much enjoyed it and am looking forward to learning more! Earlier this week I received my swap package from my D. Posted by tocspaw @ 9:41 PM. Friday, June 16, 2006. Treasur...

knit fix: There's been knitting
http://knitfix.blogspot.com/2006/02/theres-been-knitting.html
I've kinda been out of the blogging world this week, but I have been knitting behind the scenes if you will. On Friday, I was able to bind off the body on Angelica, which gave me hope to finish this last weekend. But alas the bind off was too tight, so I undid the bind off, added an inch of length and bound off again with bigger needles. Still tight! So far this has been a relaxing and enjoyable knit, which I really needed this last week. I'm talking about getting both stitch and row gauge people! Mmmmmm...

My Middle Name Is Patience: Monday, Monday
http://mymiddlenameispatience.blogspot.com/2006/08/monday-monday.html
My Middle Name Is Patience. Monday, August 28, 2006. Happy Birthday, Carie! Is that not an adorable puppy, or what? And one of these days I'm going to figure out how to print out the pictures and give them to her mom. (Even though she's told me how, at least twice.). See those seven stitches on the dpn? What idiot reads the directions and adds two stitches in the middle of those seven? Even if "pick up two stitches at the underside of the thumb" is too hard, you would think that, I don't know,. Weak king...
