A Year in Korea

A Year in Korea. Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Well, this is Melbourne, part of the central business district, at night, obviously. The river is the Yarra river. I'm not quite on the coast, but it isn't far away. This is the beach at St. kilda, a short tram ride away. I went here for the day with Michael, a german guy from my hostel. The water was freezing and it was overcast for most of the day, so it reminded me of home, in a nice way. And this is my new Canon! Sunday, August 19, 2007. 2 Salsa - the clas...

A Year in Korea: May 2007

http://ayearinkorea.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

A Year in Korea. Saturday, May 26, 2007. Sorry I've been.uh.busy. Here's a little of what I've been up to over the last month. Of my fellow teachers there who tried their best to hammer the rules into my head. Christa, Mary, Vanessa and I went to Chuncheon. And there were spider's webs you could get lost in. Oh, and the bath was brown with mould, but that didn't matter as there was no hot water to have a bath with anyway. Is famous for a dish called dakgalbi. Mix of chicken ( dak. This waterfall was our ...

A Year in Korea: 10 Memories of Korea that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside

http://ayearinkorea.blogspot.com/2007/08/10-memories-of-korea-that-make-me-feel.html

A Year in Korea. Sunday, August 19, 2007. 10 Memories of Korea that make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. 2 Salsa - the classes me and Emma gave up in the dance studio on Sunday nights, to our little band of faithful students, and the nights at Bahia when we put them into practice, particularly Emmas leaving night, after all the locals had cleaned out at the sight of us, and the barman supplied us with cowbells and bongos. 7 Korean lesson with Christa, and Mary too, at the end. Its quite likely that Il...

A Year in Korea: July 2006

http://ayearinkorea.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

A Year in Korea. Monday, July 31, 2006. I've just watched the final three episodes of the second series of Lost. It was so good, and I have absolutely nobody to talk to about it. And now, to shamelessly go for the obvious pun, I'm lost. UNLESS! Series three is available for download yet. Praise the lord for Chocolate Digestives. Why I resorted to crime in South Korea. Because we are still. Anyway, it turns out that this is where the sheets are kept prior. Sunday, July 30, 2006. Being able to keep books l...

A Year in Korea: July 2007

http://ayearinkorea.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

A Year in Korea. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. I have around 1500 pictures from the past month's travels (though approximately 95% of them are photos of Cambodia's temples) - I've. Carefully deliberated over the matter and chosen a few to share. A ferry, a train, a bus, a ship and a short taxi later, and we reach Koh Pha Ngan. I miss living on the beach. I cut my knee on the coral while snorkeling; still waiting to see if it's gonna scar or not. And I forgot to put in my contacts before the dive so...Oh, so th...

Year Of Jubilee | Olivia's Adventures

July 25, 2012. I’ve been gone for 2 months. I’m so sorry that I haven’t been keeping my blog updated. The internet here isn’t too great and it takes a very long time to load anything… But here is a little update. We have been visiting different churches every week and I’m getting to meet a lot of people. Everyone is so friendly and loving :). So please pray that God leads us as we make the trip to Manaus. I’ll be posting lots of pictures as soon as I can! Much love, Olivia. June 20, 2012. June 20, 2012.

A year of running. Over the next 12 months I will be training for the New York Marathon. A Year in Kampala

A Year in Kampala. Medical “Evacuation”. Unfortunately, while traveling to Lake Mburo in February, I became quite sick with a fever and mysterious skin infection. It came on suddenly during the first night of my trip. First, I had a low-grade fever, and by Saturday evening, I was feeling pretty terrible. Realizing that something was not right, I decided to return to Kampala early the following day. View of Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. View of Room in Hospital. In spite of Paul and I leaving. We were thrown out! The library project was a success thanks to all of your generous donations. We hoped to collect $1500 but with your help, we raised more than twice. That means that the Kenyan staff will be able to fill the library with all new, culturally relevant books, maps and other materials.

You've probably been there done that, but indulge me for a moment as I expose my ignorance and take you into the poultry marquee. Here my powers of discernment fail me.
