This Writer's Block: March 2015
http://www.thiswritersblock.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 28, 2015. Dad's Lifetime Achievement Ceremony in Washington, D.C. Monday, March 9, was the big ceremony/dinner where my Dad was honored while we were in D.C. He was a recipient of the 2015 Herb Wegner Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement, given to him by the National Credit Union Foundation. That is the official name for the award, but in other words, it's a super big deal. To my knowledge, it's one of the highest (if not the. Highest) honor one can receive in the credit union world.

Ryan Leighton. Mae. Maggie. Sunday, March 30, 2014. Last weekend, in Atlanta, I found this high chair that needed a major facelift at a local church rummage sale. I spotted it from across the way and bee-lined for it! Nothing some sanding and paint cant fix! I joked with my friend, Sarah Neale, that the bargainer in me wanted to negotiate the $15 dollar price. I should be condemned for even letting it enter my head, because the money was for CHURCH for crying out loud! And you wouldnt believe. This will ...

Ryan Leighton. Mae. Maggie. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Squeezing it all in. I finally am getting my energy back and have hit the ground running. I have mowed the lawn for my first, and second, time ever. I feel like it is one thing I can do to help Ryan out since he is working so much and will give us more time with him when he is home. Mae and I have had many a playdates at the library, parks, splashpads, friends houses, and the pool. We are soaking up every ounce of summer. We headed back to Charlotte Thu...

Ryan Leighton. Mae. Maggie. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Red eye and all.). Lots of fun things to remember this month. Ryan calls her bear cub and has since she was born. He says she looks like one. Not sure how to take that. She holds her head up very well and has for a few weeks. Mae was good at this early on too. She loves her sister and loves to be talked to. She carries on conversations in her own language and it's the sweetest. Her smile melts me. We got all of her shots this week, boo! Thank you, Jesus...

Just the Two of Us. Sunday, September 29, 2013. The Rest of the Stuff I Should Have Blogged About Already. We reserved our neighborhood's pavilion and pool this year for the twins' birthday party. We had lots of fun! I have lots of pictures that I didn't post, but I wanted to do the highlights! All of the kids were so sweet and played well together. We had cupcakes, chips, fruit, and juice boxes. Pretty easy stuff! It was a great way to celebrate turning FIVE! How are they FIVE? I am hoping things settle...

Just the Two of Us. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. I had to work the last two days. I get even more super-attached to these two during the summer, so it was hard. I missed them. They are oh so much fun this summer! Might be my favorite age so far. I think I have said that about all of the ages so far. They have all been my favorite. :-) Except age three. I didn't say that about three. Saw these pictures on my phone today and they reminded me of some of our summer fun! Time is flying by so quickly! We started ...

Just the Two of Us. Saturday, April 12, 2014. I A couple of months ago, Phil said he listened in on a conversation on the way to school with the kids that entailed Rush convincing SF to play t-ball with him. She reluctantly agreed, and Phil quickly signed them up before anyone could change their mind. :-) Fast forward to today and we have two kids that are IN LOVE with t-ball! We have also been fortunate to have great coaches. He loves the green monster inside his glove! What will we DO with her? Rush is...
