The baby is home and now the real fun begins! Friday, May 11, 2007. Ethiopia - Day 4, orphanages. Deacon slept much better the 2nd night. We fed him more during the day, and wore him out keeping him busy. He only woke up once at around 4 am to be fed. It turns out the Gladney home had already been feeding Deacon some rice cereal. But all we brought was formula, so his stomach probably feels a little emptier than usual. I love reading your posts from Addis! Thanks so much for sharing your experiences!

From Axum To Here. Shenanigans and goings-on in our journey to adopt from Ethiopia. Saturday, August 10, 2013. Jet lag has been quite a hiccup to Reece's normally stellar sleeping. He's woken up at 1 am and 2 am on our first two nights overseas, so that's made for some tired mornings. Allyson was completely drained this morning after staying up with him from about 2 am onwards, all while fighting a cold. Suffice it to say that Christian gets tonight's shift! I printed out this entire baby faulkner blog to make sure I had a hard copy and it took about 150 pages.But Deacon is not a baby anymore. He is going to start walking anyday now, he has given up the bottles for sippy cups, and he loves to flirt with anyone that will look at him! So we have made a new blog for the whole family.
