McCalls 8070 – bonus project! | Sew Stupid
https://sewstupid.wordpress.com/2011/08/14/mccalls-8070-bonus-project
A crafty little blog. McCalls 8070 – bonus project! I may not have been blogging much lately, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been making! I’ve currently got no fewer than four partially made dresses waiting for me to finish them. The latest is the one pictured – McCalls 8070. I was recently given a bag full of fabric and patterns, and within it this dress was all cut out and ready to sew, and in my size too! Project #15: vest top. Project #16: McCalls 8070, finished! Project #12 – Newspaper Rose Bouquet | Sew Stupid
https://sewstupid.wordpress.com/2011/06/12/project-12-newspaper-rose-bouquet-2
A crafty little blog. Project #12 – Newspaper Rose Bouquet. My older sister got married last year, and had the most wonderful wedding day. The venue was the Swan at the Globe in London, and the day had a vintage / 1920s theme. She’s got an amazing eye for detail, and is full of creative ideas, so as one of her bridesmaids I got roped into helping her make various things for her wedding day, which was great fun. Handmade, but found lots of photos for inspiration. A newspaper or magazine. To attach the fir...

Reasons to own a sewing machine (aka project #14) | Sew Stupid
https://sewstupid.wordpress.com/2011/06/19/reasons-to-own-a-sewing-machine-aka-project-14
A crafty little blog. Reasons to own a sewing machine (aka project #14). Any parents of little girls out there will know how difficult it is to avoid the onslaught of pink. Pink seems to be everywhere – not just in baby clothes, but even lots of toys seem to come in two colour-ways: some kind of gender neutral (bright), or PINK. And yes the capitals are intentional. And don’t get me started on nursery things. For this reason, our little girl’s room is red. And this posed a challenge when trying...Yep, it...

http://ela-sews.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 23 April 2015. Let's fly away Mimi Blouse. Me: Shall we go for a walk? We still haven't explored the surrounding area. He: Yes sure. I will take my camera in case we see some birds, deer. Me: Can you take a picture of me? Me: Wait. I have to take off my coat. I can't belive it. Are you taking every opportunity to get photographs for your blog? Me (broadly smiling): YES! Does this sound familiar to you? Pattern in my stash and I'm eyeballing the Arielle. Adding so much fabric to the shoulders me...

A colourful life: June 2015
https://christinascolourfullive.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, 29 June 2015. Anyway, I really wanted to write about my latest sewing adventure. I bought a really nice jersey fabric for a summer dress. I have never sewn with knit fabrics and was a little apprehensive. To practice, I bought some cheap bright green light weight t-shirt jersey to have a go and maybe even end up with something wearable. I used a tried and trusted pattern, the Sailor Top by Fancy Tiger Crafts. Which I have used before here. But a little less natural. To sum my experience with jerse...

Here is a list of what I consider other useful craft sites:-. Ok, it's not just a craft site, but a very addictive site. A great site for buying and selling crafts, based in the UK. Another great craft selling site, but this time based in the US. Here are some of places I obtain my materials from:-. American based but have some lovely fabrics that are worth the wait. The site might not be much, but the service and quality of goods is great. A tad expensive, but it has it all. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

ToffleCraft: January 2011
http://tofflecraft.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 29, 2011. Finished Table Mats and American Fabrics! I'm pleased to say that I have now finished three of the mats. The binding has been sewn on using blind stitch by hand (a big achievement for me, as I'd never done the stitch before). Another project in the pipeline for once I've finished my quilt. I'm going to try to do one thing at a time, at least in quilting terms. Typical that they would find the largest one in the state when it's not their interest! I think my Mum chose pretty we...
