Bacon In My Pocket: Pack a lunch or not?
http://baconinmypocket.blogspot.com/2010/10/pack-lunch-or-not.html
Bacon In My Pocket. Bringing home the bacon is hard work. Keeping it is even harder! Monday, October 25, 2010. Pack a lunch or not? So each night after dinner I pack up the leftovers for Mr. Bacon lunch the next day. That only takes care of one of the lunches I need to make. The other is for Bacon Jr. Being in school every day, he either has to bring his own lunch or have the school lunch. Now I have to say looking over his school lunch menu, it doesn't sound all that bad! 2 cups quick oats oatmeal.
Bacon In My Pocket: Lots of new challenges, let chat over a drink
http://baconinmypocket.blogspot.com/2013/01/lots-of-new-challenges-let-chat-over.html
Bacon In My Pocket. Bringing home the bacon is hard work. Keeping it is even harder! Thursday, January 10, 2013. Lots of new challenges, let chat over a drink. It's been a whirlwind with moving a family of 6 to a new town, new schools and starting new jobs, but we are finally settling in! Where to start off a new post? How about with a drink? Ahhh, nothing like a rich chocolate hot drink on a cold day. And even better with frosty the snowman melting in it! Perfect for freezing my coffee for my iced drinks.
Bacon In My Pocket: Noodle saves the day!
http://baconinmypocket.blogspot.com/2011/08/noodle-saves-day.html
Bacon In My Pocket. Bringing home the bacon is hard work. Keeping it is even harder! Sunday, August 28, 2011. Noodle saves the day! Not just any noodle, a pool noodle! I cut about a 5 inch section from the noodle. Then I cut a slit along the side to the middle. Insert it over the door and we have saved fingers! I did place this on the hinge side of the door, that way the door won't close as far, but you can put it on either side. Do you hate when your doors slam shut from the breeze? Posted by Ma Bacon.
Bacon In My Pocket: Grills, great food and gardens - Oh My!

Bacon In My Pocket. Bringing home the bacon is hard work. Keeping it is even harder! Thursday, June 2, 2011. Grills, great food and gardens - Oh My! Ahhh Can you smell that? Yeah it's the grill going again. We love to grill in the summer. Actually all year long, but there's something about grilling in three feet of snow and 20 degree weather that takes some of the joy out of it! I'm happy to do the prep work and keep the mess outside. Your beverage of choice can vary. So what did we toss on the grill?
Bacon In My Pocket: The Pantry challenge
http://baconinmypocket.blogspot.com/2010/07/pantry-challenge.html
Bacon In My Pocket. Bringing home the bacon is hard work. Keeping it is even harder! Tuesday, July 20, 2010. So I had to get creative. I was stumped one night for planning dinner so I started to REALLY dig though the pantry and freezer. Here is what I found:. 2 frozen chicken breasts. 1 small can sliced mushrooms. And a heck of a lot of penne. OH what to do? I got the penne. Cooking in boiling water- about 2 cups worth. This turned out amazing! Or what ever else you have on hand. This one went right ...

The Accidental Homeschooler: April 2013
http://imtheaccidentalhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Ode to My Peanut. My baby girl will be 11 next Wednesday. But, as we will be in the process of moving, I won't be able to post all kinds of Momma Drivel on her actual birthday. So I am posting it now. I knew I was in for a reality check when you were born. Literally when you were born. As soon as you were born, you cried. I have video taped evidence of the delivery nurses asking the doctor."What did you do to this baby? And you cried for the next 2 years straight. Every time we...

Friday, March 18, 2011. Happiness is homemade.". How do I relax? I retreat to my kitchen. I love cooking and baking, it's soothing and comforting to me. I love to get creative and some days it can be a good way to take out my stress. I even blog about it here. This week was taking an adventure in homemade yogurt. Is there anything better than feeding your family with true love from the kitchen? Thanks for checking out my blog-. Please remember to check out other project 52 projects in my side bar *.

The Accidental Homeschooler: F.A.T. Tuesdays
http://imtheaccidentalhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2013/05/fat-tuesdays.html
Thursday, May 2, 2013. We just moved in to a rental home. It's a temporary thing until we actually build our new home. OUT IN THE COUNTRY. Did I tell you I can't wait? Anyway, speaking of not being capable of waiting, I recently read a blog article about the value of NOT entertaining your kids 24/7. Http:/ www.momlifetoday.com/2013/01/when-your-child-says-theres-nothing-to-do/. BUT, for the sake of being a good momma and assuaging my guilt, I have come up with. Did I mention that includes me as well?

The Accidental Homeschooler: October 2013
http://imtheaccidentalhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 28, 2013. It Has Nothing to do With You. Wow It's been a long time since I have been on here! Hope this thing still works. When I first began homeschooling, I was prepared for the public scrutiny. To say I was loaded for bear would be about right.I was prepared to defend any and everything we did, from curriculum choices to socialization. I made sure that we had one social activity a day to 'check that box' so no one could point a finger and say I was not properly socializing my kids.

Thursday, January 27, 2011. There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million.". And these eyes are no exception! The compliments I get on our kids eye. Lashes. I love them, long, beautiful, full. Lashes. Our son Elliott sees the world in ways kids should. Every day is an adventure and I love exploring our world through his eyes. The Accidental Homeschooler: December 2012
http://imtheaccidentalhomeschooler.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. Resolutions.Yes, I Make Them. I love New Year's Eve/Day. What better than a holiday to celebrate the successes (or learning from the failures) of an old year and the freshness and grand possibilities of a new year? Here are some of my resolutions for the New Year:. 1 The Husband Project. 3 Focus more on healthy eating, less on what size I am. I figure if I gear towards a healthier lifestyle, the pounds will follow. 4 Fostering more independence with the kids. This year I ha...

Bacon In My Pocket
Bacon In My Pocket. Bringing home the bacon is hard work. Keeping it is even harder! Wednesday, May 22, 2013. I'll tell you making healthier food choices in the Bacon house is easier than finding time to blog about them. But I haven't left you all out. I have hundreds of pictures on my camera just waiting to post on here! In our quest to better food, I'm happy to have tweaked the good ol' chocolate chip cookie! This eating better and healthier stuff isn't that hard to do. Honestly! 1/3 cup oat flour.

Appalachian Goodness in the Andes. This artisanal handcrafted smoked bacon is made the old fashioned way in the tradition of the best smokehouses throughout the Appalachian Mountains of the United States. Heritage pork is hand selected, butchered, trimmed then dry cured with David's signature cure. The bellies are aged and then smoked over Applewood to complete the 14 day process. It is truly a taste of Appalachian goodness in the heart of the Andes!
