Jammy Coconut Thumbprints | Baking and Making
https://bakingandmaking.com/recipes-2/jammy-coconut-thumbprints
A Little Bit About Me. When I was at primary school, my favourite pudding was Manchester Tart (always served with custard). These little biscuits are in memory of all those dinner ladies who gave me second helpings because “You’re so little you need feeding up! 75 golden caster sugar. 1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste. 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk. Home made jam in your favourite flavour. A couple of tablespoons of desiccated coconut. Press your thumb i...
Almond Biscuits | Baking and Making
https://bakingandmaking.com/recipes-2/almond-biscuits
A Little Bit About Me. You can read a blog post. About this recipe by clicking here). These simple almond biscuits are best made in a food processor, if you prefer to use pasteurised egg, they taste just as good made with 2 chicks egg whites. If you need a gluten free biscuit for a trifle these are ideal as they soak up alcohol particularly well. I have even used them as the base for an impromptu Tiramusi! 100g unrefined caster sugar. 2 lightly beaten egg whites. Place the balls on the baking sheet.

The Wool Nest: April 2013
http://lynnespatternparlour.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 April 2013. Exciting times at Lynne's Knits. I hope you're all enjoying the slight rise in temperature. I'm not shivering anymore and there's no need to wear a scarf in the house now - at long last! We've turned the heating off the timer and just pop it on for an hour when we're feeling a little chilly. It makes me smile every time I look at it. Well, I have some exciting things to tell you:. 2 This week I had a business meeting with the lively (and lovely) ladies at Aunty Mabel's Seat - a g...

Skip to primary navigation. Skip to primary sidebar. Celebrating British food and Culture. About my work: Magic Soup – Book Photography. Over a period of 3 weeks during a hot summer in London, I photographed the newly published book ‘Magic Soup’. Magic Soup. Is written by Ottolenghi’s former head chef Nicole Pisani. And author Kate Adams. Not only does the book tell you how to make a good stock, it teaches you how to make your own Kimchi, scallop ceviche and cured salmon. Exciting much? And let me know i...

The Wool Nest: June 2013
http://lynnespatternparlour.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, 30 June 2013. Make With Mabel - Fairisle and Cables. Yesterday I ran my first Workshop at Make With Mabel in Knutsford, Cheshire. I'd spun some gorgeous merino wool into neat yarn cakes, designed a cute fairisle and cable pin cushion, researched, wrote notes, prepared a sample, prepared my materials and surprised myself at how organised I was. Not wise when I'm teaching! There were a few sighs and groans, but most of all there were lots of smiles and laughs. Tuesday, 25 June 2013. I crocheted a p...

Random Wooliness: January 2015
https://random-wooliness.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Welcome to my sometimes random and often woolly creations and observations. Ali. Saturday, 24 January 2015. All over the garden the first signs of spring growth are sprouting! The green shoots reminded me of the freeform vessel made for my mums birthday in November, that escaped the photo stage. Mum kindly brought it back to have its picture taken! The varying thicknesses and finishes produce a naturally occurring knobbly wibbly undulating terrain. And lacy cobwebby holes! Thursday, 8 January 2015. Promp...

Baking And I
Monday, July 13, 2009. Honey Whole Wheat Loaf (I've found a new love! When tenants move out of an apartment, especially an apartment building where I work, they give away a few things they don't want to take to where they are going. These usually range from beds, to ornamental plants, and sometimes, food. This time, I receive a big bottle of Al Shifa Natural Honey. I instantly remember a recipe for Honey Whole Wheat Loaf from www.kusinanimanang.blogspot.com. 2 cups all-purpose flour. Brush top with beate...

Spreading the love, one bake at a time. The Cake and Bake Show. A little (ok, a lot! On the late side now, but I visited The Cake and Bake Show. At Earl’s Court the other week and wanted to share a few photos of my day. All photos were taken on my phone so they may not be the best! It was a first for me, and I didn’t really know much about it before buying my ticket- but as the name suggests it was right up my street! There was an impressive cake catwalk and cake tables that looked like a Pinterest.

bakingandme | A 14 year olds adventures with baking
A 14 year olds adventures with baking. August 15, 2012. I made these muffins, because A we have so many ripe bananas in my house (say what? 2 whole bunches) and B because my Dad really likes bran muffins! Okay back on a more muffin related note, please don’t skimp on the sugar sprinkled on top-the sugar hardens and adds a really nice crunch to the top of the muffins. In my honest opinion there is nothing like a freshly baked muffins still warm from the oven (hows that for comfort food? 1 1/2 cups bran.
