The Baking Book Reviewer: The Cooks Companion

http://bakingbookreviewer.blogspot.com/2012/03/cooks-companion.html

The Baking Book Reviewer. Monday, 12 March 2012. This massive tome has no pictures. I know you are about to faint and skip ahead to the next review, but hear me out. It has no pictures. Are you getting used to the idea yet? I think you are going to be ok with this book. Its nature is encyclopaedic and text based (no pictures - there I said it again). But far from being a boring and dry reference book, this cook book is alive with fantastic recipes from Stephanie's cooking career. The Baking Book Reviewer.

The Baking Book Reviewer: Makin' Whoopie

http://bakingbookreviewer.blogspot.com/2012/03/makin-whoopie.html

The Baking Book Reviewer. Monday, 12 March 2012. These handsome looking beasties are chocolate chunk and oat whoopie cakes with vanilla cream. The recipe can be found in Susanna Tee's Whoopie Cakes. But to save you the trouble of hunting down the book, here it is. 200g soft light brown sugar. Half teaspoon vanilla essence. 300g white plain flour. Two and a half teasp of baking powder. Pinch of salt (I never put it in). 100g dark chocolate chunks. 50g Rolled oats (not quick or instant). Beat in the egg.

The Baking Book Reviewer: The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook

http://bakingbookreviewer.blogspot.com/2012/03/hummingbird-bakery-cookbook.html

The Baking Book Reviewer. Monday, 12 March 2012. The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook. The banana bread recipe is exactly like the commercial breads you can buy in most cafes, but of course it is so much better than that because you know exactly what is in your recipe and that does not include artificial preservatives. The Baking Book Reviewer. 12 March 2012 at 19:13. I must say, I have had the pleasure of trying these brownies, and they are to die for! Must get me a copy of this book. Nigella Lawson the Godd...

Blankets, Books and Cookies!

Blankets, Books and Cookies! Saturday, 28 February 2015. Updating this blog is my new year's resolution, internet. That is, I am going to be a year older very soon, and I feel like this is a good time to try and do the things I love more. i.e. Blogging, reading, blogging about reading, and eating copious amounts of chocolate. So here I am - back on the blog train (and clinging on for dear life) - and here is how I started writing! Above and beyond all other things, I am a fangirl. And here I am: 21 years...
