FoodCraze: Daring Bakers: French Macarons

http://food-craze.blogspot.com/2009/11/daring-bakers-french-macarons.html

I feel a recipe is only a theme, in which an intelligent cook can play each time with variation".Madame Benoit. Monday, November 02, 2009. Daring Bakers: French Macarons. HmHmmsadly, this month's challenge is what I think as a failed mission. My intention was to remake these macaroons, but couldn’t find the time. I have made coconut based macaroons many times, but this is the first time making French macarons and I surely got a 'Ha ha, the joke is on you' slap. I liked it better with filling. Vik, no...

Food and the City. The Food I Make and the City I Live In. Newer posts →. I guess you can call this post long over-due, but I have had my boyfriend over from Norway this week so I didn’t really want to spend my time blogging. But here goes the story of my first Halloween in USA. My first Halloween in the US is over, and what a day it was! With the chocolate frosting and half a batch of the vanilla frosting from this post. Since I have tried that recipe before I knew the cupcakes would turn out great, but...

Just another WordPress site. Cool Gadgets – Measuring Spoons. Okay, I know what you are thinking, what’s so cool about measuring spoons? They’re just spoons right? Measuring spoons have entered a whole new dimension! They’re not just the white Tupperware spoons thrown to the back of the draw any more, they have become a fashion statement in their own right! And so on, and so forth! The fact that I like my pretty pink measuring spoons, brings me to the next subject how cool have measuring spoons become?

delectable deliciousness: November 2009

http://delectabledeliciousness.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 9, 2009. October Daring Bakers Challenge - Macarons. Ah yes, the macaron. I love them so. The 2009 October Daring Bakers’ challenge was brought to us by Ami S. of Baking Without Fear. She chose macarons from Claudia Fleming’s The Last Course: The Desserts of Gramercy Tavern as the challenge recipe. Was I alarmed when I saw this month's Daring Bakers challenge involved a new, never before used (by moi) recipe for macarons? I'll conquer this recipe too! Cockiness is so unbecoming, isn't it?

Tartelette: It Takes All Sorts Of Macarons To Make The World Go Round

http://www.tarteletteblog.com/2009/10/recipes-macarons-it-takes-all-sorts-of.html

It Takes All Sorts Of Macarons To Make The World Go Round. October 27, 2009. We were recently putting together a care package for a friend in town and we started brainstorming about what to include. Macarons, are always first on the list for some reason, eheh! Bill's go-to breakfast is a bagel with peanut butter and jelly and turning this into a macaron was very easy. I used half almond and half peanuts for the shells and filled those with a teaspoon each of peanut butter and homemade raspberry jelly.

Excitement in the Kitchen (Daring Bakers October Challenge) |

The Recipe for your Fall Cookie Cutters. Not Your Mom’s Pumpkin Soup →. Excitement in the Kitchen (Daring Bakers October Challenge). October 27, 2009. Suffice it to say that given the reputation of the Daring Kitchen. I expected nothing less than a real test and learning experience. And that’s what I got! I chose to flavor the macaron with a combination of loose ground Russian Country tea which is very smoky, both in leaf form and in brew, and orange peel. Time for another batch! That did the trick!
