Make great food with the little we have to choose from. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Papaya Pie tastes a lot like Peach Pie. Make sure the papaya is nicely ripened before cutting it open. Cut papaya in half and remove seeds of 2 medium sized ripe papaya. Peel the outer shell and slice pieces into small squares. In a medium sized saucepan combine:. 1/2 cup of brown sugar. 1/4 cup pure maple syrup. Coat for 10 minutes before heating. Remove from heat and add:. 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg. 1/4 tsp ground cloves.
