Barefoot running and everything else under the sun. Winter Mileage – New changes on the way. Posted by Barefoot Gentile. April 1, 2014. It’s April 1st! It was a long, cold, snowy winter and happy to see it’s way out. Considering how brutal the winter was I did manage to still run barefoot. I didn’t do a lot of running, I was just maintaining and getting my exercise in. Here’s the break down:. Total winter barefoot miles = 220. 100 mile – (41-32F). 63 miles – (32-23F). 46 miles – (23 to 14 F).

The Obligatory Ultra Running Blog: A Change of Plans
http://theobligatoryultrarunningblog.blogspot.com/2014/08/a-change-of-plans.html
The Obligatory Ultra Running Blog. Sunday, August 17, 2014. A Change of Plans. There has been a pretty major change of plans for this year. No Cactus Rose 100. I'm certainly bummed about that but think that the schedule makes more sense for this year and gives me a much higher chance of successfully reaching my goals. Will start on a Friday morning, another difference that I find appealing. I'll be joined again by Doom. Dude, what happened to your blog! This will also allow me to run Rockledge Rumble.

The Obligatory Ultra Running Blog. Saturday, April 11, 2015. Grasslands 2015 - The Mud and Oxford Comma. I was prepared to DNS this post but finally got around to it, not that there is much to post. I came really close to not even heading out to the race. I battled a knee injury all winter and never really got in any kind of proper training and never lost my "winter" weight. So on race day, I got up early, under trained and over weight and made the long drive out to the Grasslands 50. Then the traffic.

Heather Runs Too Much. Monday, March 17, 2014. Ultrarunning culture: we need this growth. Wonderful though it is, the ultrarunning community isnt perfect and could use improvement. I dont think that the way to improve it is through impressing some ideology on newcomers, though. I think we need to work on some of our problems from the inside, and make the newcomers feel more welcome. . Saturday, March 8, 2014. Will winter ever end? Hows winter treating you? Heather Runs Too Much. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Pineland Farms Race Reports! My daughters got a kick out of watching the Canicross on Saturday. We suspect that one of the top finishing dogs may have been carried like a football throughout most of the course. I imagine that is not against the rules. I really love running with my daughter, and hope she doesn’t get too fast for a long time. Or, at least, I hope once and a while she’ll return the favor and run slowly with her old lady. Final time: 6:44:18, whi...

Posted by Adam Gentile. November 1, 2017. Throwing the iron around is back in my life, again. In my 20’s I was a gym rat and was really into lifting, buying all the bodybuilding magazines and what not, then it faded. I got back into again maybe 13 years ago, joined a gym, started to have kids, and that faded out again. Now at 46 years of age, I’m back. I started lifting in the beginning of August and currently using a push/pull routine. Day 1 – Chest/Shoulder/Triceps. Day 2 – Legs. Mark Moore's Blog.
