Monday, January 5, 2009. A Season of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on all the wonderful things and people that have blessed our lives. We are so grateful for our amazing families and the unity we share with each of them, and for our friends. We miss you all so much! We are also so thankful for our two precious daughters who are the joys of our life! We love being a forever family! Thanks for sharing the holiday with us! Sunday, September 21, 2008. Hurricane Ike was an adventure! All and all we survived and learned a lot. Take home message: Build your food storage! And have a 72-hour kit (or in our case a 144-hour kit) complete with candles, wind up lights, a radio and propane. Hurricane Ike in Houston Here are some of the pictures that we talked about. We still cannot get into some areas of the city. More photos to come! Homes flooded near the beach that we go to. Destroyed homes in the area that we go to the beach!

Sunday, October 19, 2008. Mom and Shirley come to visit! We finally had visitors from back home! And I'm not talking about the two cockroaches we had during this time.those definately weren't from Utah! Mom and Shirley arrived on October 1st and stayed through October 5th. We had a fabulous time exploring the museums of Houston (the fine arts museum, holocaust museum, and the children's museum.all in one day! Sitting in front of the Downtown Aquarium. Tuesday, January 26, 2010. The start of a beautiful year. Life is back in session, and I get to be a Mom again. I don't know of anything that gets better than that? To top if off, I finished radiation treatments and won't be spending 12-15 hours a week at the hospital. YEAH! Done We will compare the two scans and hope to not see any new growth of tumors. I am literally. On my hands and knees daily begging for a miracle. I truly am hoping for some great news! It has been a LONG road that's for sure.

He is so ornery and into everything, but he is the sweetest little cuddly boy. He gives great kisses and hugs and loves giving that cheesy smile.
