Nikki’s 2017 projects. Here will be a list of projects that I would like to complete in 2017 – updated when I complete them (with a ), hopefully with links to a blog post or series of blog posts about them. Oven gloves in blue (to match our crockery) from these clearance tea towels. Square pan holders, also from the clearance tea towels. A cafetiere cosy for my parents large cafetiere, along the lines of this previous one I made. A cafetiere cosy for our kitchen in our new colour scheme.

December 28, 2016. December 28, 2016. My gorgeous knitting gift from Pippa. I love the colours and can’t wait to wear my lovely hat and mittens, although it’s very mild here today in North Devon. I am not a knitter and I am attempting badly to crochet, so these lovely wools will help keep me going. There were also some lovely embroidery threads which are now in my stash and a hot chocolate kit which was consumed before any photos were taken. Just a quick update. December 29, 2016. Linen, merino wool, a vintage doily and a hoop plus inspiration from Wuthering Heights and this is what I have so far. Am faffing about this weekend, wishing the malodorous fumes from the outside painting would stop entering this tiny box as I don’t appreciate the corresponding headache. (Sorry for the whine.). Mutter, mutter, toil, and grumble,. Why can’t monday. Must be the time change. But it’s finally cooled off a bit, and I’ve actually worn long pants and either my Morris or another jacket several times. Yippee! The grocer had sticky tape/scotch tape on a 2-for-one sale so guess who stocked up? Am not too worried. My chaotic pdf pattern storage.

Welcome to Beads and Barley. Wednesday, April 14, 2010. I have been making so many pieces of jewelry with my lampwork beads! I teach a class called "Drop on By" which is a bracelet that uses a lampwork bead as a focal. I have also been incorporating many of them in necklaces as well. Here are a few of my new bracelets and necklaces! I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to sell my beads while I continue to strive to make them round and work on different color combinations. Tuesday, 19 May 2015. Rag Rug Project: Completed! Well I previously posted about my Rag Rug Project. And it's progress, well it has finally been completed! It took quite a while firstly just because it was quite large and fiddly, but also because it was quite difficult to find periods of time to actually sit down and spend a decent bit of time working on the rug. But now it is done and I'm really happy with it! So how did I do it? Here you can see the sacking with the first few edge pieces through it.
