Island Camping on Florida’s First Coast. March 3, 2015. Comments: Leave a comment. We finally had our first taste of the beach camping experience at Anastasia State Park, and it definitely won't be our last! Campsites are nestled in the shade of a coastal forest bordering the Atlantic Ocean. The park has a beach, a playground, bike rentals, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and an old coquina quarry - all just a few minutes away from the shops, restaurants and museums of old St. Augustine.
