Blather of a Beer Geek

Blather of a Beer Geek. Thursday, March 13, 2008. It's very belated, but Happy Birthday to our little Maia. She's now four years old and I can't comprehend that 4 years have passed since this little, loud, spikey haired baby came into our lives. To celebrate, I thought I would note 4 things about you that have brought immense joy into our lives. 4) The permanent natural fauxhawk that you had for your first year of life. Friday, December 14, 2007. Just before the bird was carved, we cracked open the North...

http://beerblather.blogspot.com/2007/12/personal-blogage.html

Blather of a Beer Geek. Friday, December 14, 2007. I've decided to separate my personal and technical blogs as I think there are very few people who are both interested in the Spring framework and my kid's latest bowel movement. This is the spot where my family and beer related posts will reside. If you are looking for technology related posts, go here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Santa Needs Love Too. Blather of a Beer Geek: December 2007

http://beerblather.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Blather of a Beer Geek. Friday, December 14, 2007. I was lucky enough to share a couple of great beers with my brother yesterday. Unibroue's Maudite was our pre-meal beverage. It is a great example of strong Belgian beer. A very malty brew that disguises it's alcohol well. I've never had a beer I didn't love from Unibroue. In a nutshell, you can't go wrong with high octane belgians and holiday meals. Happy Thanksgiving to all! Santa Needs Love Too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Santa Needs Love Too.

The Todd on Tech: Why we went Kanban

http://toddkaufman.blogspot.com/2011/08/why-we-went-kanban.html

The Todd on Tech. Thursday, August 11, 2011. Why we went Kanban. I don’t think any single process is the best fit for all teams. Teams and projects using Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, or any other custom process you can think of have been successful in the past. In my opinion, the most important thing to keep in mind is that the process should be constantly evolving, similar to the software that you are building. Track output, not arbitrary numbers. Planning sessions are no substitute for conversations.

http://toddkaufman.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

The Todd on Tech. Wednesday, January 21, 2009. My good friend Jeff. Tagged me to blog my goals for the year. I'm glad he gave me a little inspiration for this as my personal goals are something that's been floating around in my head for some time. With the exception of the first two they are in no order. Here they are, etched in the annals of the internet. 1) Delight my wife. 2) Be a better father to my 2 girls. 3) Exceed the expectations of every customer I come in contact with. 4) Blog every other week.

The Todd on Tech. Friday, July 29, 2011. Myth #1: Indian Developers are  Subpar. Myth #2: Communication Will be Easy. Everyone speaks English right? Well at least a country that was colonized by England speaks English, right? Myth #3: Cultural Differences are not that Wide. I knew that there would be cultural differences but I really had no idea how different the people are here from back home. I had brushed up on the differences with a great book, Speaking of India. Apologies for the significant delay, but I wanted to pick up the interviewing tips to get at least two more topics off my chest before turning to other posts. I've at times let people slide in an interview without much pressure on their foundational knowledge, but no more. Perhaps the most well-known weizen is. 8211; a hazy pale golden ale that originated in southern Germany. Hefe means yeast and hefeweizens are wheat beers that have not had the yeast and proteins filtered out – thus their hazy appearance. The same beer with the yeast filtered out is called. Beer Blender

Life is too short to drink just one beer at a time. Great Divide Brewing Co. North Coast Brewing Co. Saturday, January 8, 2011. New year - new blends. The other day at Sam's Quick Stop, John told me to take a closer look at the labels of the latest delivery of Brooklyn Monster . "This Monster was born in 2007" WOW - 3-year-old barleywine! What a mouthful - and at a very reasonable price. A monster with some hop-kick to it. Very interesting, complex blend. And VERY potent. Whew! Sunday, March 7, 2010.
