July 22, 2014. Day one of Kids Clothes Week for summer. This boy is quickly growing out of every single thing in his drawers so he was in desperate need of new clothes. Of course super heroes is the only thing he wants to rock right now so I got on board. Green Lantern was an obvious choice since he is still loving the color green. I used the Recess Raglan Pattern. January 19, 2012. One of my all time favorite games, memory. As a kid my siblings and I spent multiple hours playing the old school Milton-Bradley version. I loved it! With inches of snow in the city we are stuck mostly inside and found this set of cards dejected in the bottom of the duplo bin. Mother to three sons. Teacher by profession, currently home with our boys. While pregnant with my first I took a quilting class where I learned to create quilt blocks and was drawn to the puzzle aspect of sewing. More designing, than following a pattern. It was this part of sewing with which I fell in love. My husband and I met at a Seattle bus stop years ago and live in a 100 year old house in the city. He is my sounding board and one of my biggest supporters. I hope this is a place that is authentic.

July 24, 2014. Just one piece finished but another much needed tank. Modified just like yesterday but added ribbing instead of knit bias. Another old tee cut down, keeping the existing hem. Greensnake skin and a zip fly? These were started a couple weeks ago and then I got distracted. Worked a bit more on them but they are still missing a complete waistband. The poor people who are friends with me on facebook would have been spammed over the past few days with photos and status’ about my recent holiday in Yeppoon. Of all places… Sounds bogan, at times it was bogan yet most of the time though it was pure bliss. Yeppoon is definitely underrated.
