Week Two: String Arrays | Begin With BASIC
https://beginwithbasic.wordpress.com/2011/02/28/week-two-string-arrays
Becoming a computer programmer. Week Two: String Arrays. February 28, 2011. I was a bit of a slacker this past weekend, but “week” two rolls on. In the first example. Where the program holds ten names, ten individual string variables were being dedicated to storing those names. Now, a single array will be used to accomplish the same feat. Anyway, let’s find out. These first four steps all look like they will be unaffected. 1 [start] print instructions (e.g. store list of ten names). 6 if yes, store user ...

Becoming a computer programmer. Week Two: Getting Started. February 25, 2011. My keyboard issues still exist, but the reminder of the On-Screen Keyboard (thanks again, Stefan) has me back up and running (or crawling) again. The following keys are affected:. Sadly, I use four of those keys (Delete, Home, End, -/ ) regularly but I will get by. 8220;Week Two”. I am entering this second week with a different mindset. Call me a glutten for punishment, but I almost want to struggle this week. Store name input ...

Becoming a computer programmer. February 23, 2011. Stefan, I certainly hope this. The key to success is to get things going in the speed you can easily follow. Even if not, it is my plan. I’ve had too many failed attempts in my past to think rushing through this latest (and potentially final) effort is the best course of action. The first example provided seems relatively simple. I do get it… kind of. I mean, when I stop and truly examine the code I understand what it’s doing. About the source code.

Week One: Homework Revisited | Begin With BASIC

Becoming a computer programmer. Week One: Homework Revisited. February 18, 2011. While I technically completed the “Week One” homework assignment. Previously, I only did so with borrowed code. Part of the assignment required rounding the cents (decimal) amount to the nearest twenty cents and the author provided the logic to resolve this. I tested the provided logic and knew that it worked, but didn’t (and don’t) actually understand. More importantly, a working solution that I actually understand! I found...

April 11, 2012 · 7:46 am. Holiday in Yeppoon – Clearing the Mind. The poor people who are friends with me on facebook would have been spammed over the past few days with photos and status’ about my recent holiday in Yeppoon. Of all places… Sounds bogan, at times it was bogan yet most of the time though it was pure bliss. Yeppoon is definitely underrated. Also, there’s only a couple of days until I fly to Gladstone for my brother’s wedding! I’m rather excited, the whole family together shall be great.

November 20, 2014. Laura has done it again- another incredible pattern, the Rowan Tee. The best part of the pattern is the numerous options- 144 to be exact. This is the most recent but it's is the 7th time I have made the pattern and it does not disappoint. Probably my favorite thing about this pattern is the ability to add detail with pockets and stripes with so little fabric. It has allowed me to use a lot of old knits that I just have small pieces of. (Mae is rocking his Small Fry Skinny Jeans. Sew r...

Adding Ancestors to the Database. I joined the Daughters of the American Revolution for the genealogy - it is a lineage society, after all. In joining, I utilized their Ancestor Database. To find Revolutionary War Patriots to join through. I also pursued their Descendants Database. Which is made up of the other generations of ancestors that have been documented to reach the Patriots. For the most part, the DAR database is well documented (and if it's not, there's usually a notation). Links to this post.
