Being Fit Over 50. Why I love my breakfast on the Weekends. I have to say I love my breakfast on the weekends. Why? One of the things my husband has perfected is his Blueberry Protein Pancakes. I was never a big fan of the pancake and still to this day it is not something I would ever order at a restaurant. But I have to say when he makes these I am very willing to taste test them for him. Don’t tell me you can’t see any advantage or gains because there were studies done in nursing homes that found that people in their 80s and 90s were able to increase strength, muscle, and functional capacity.
