Monday, October 03, 2005. So for the past couple of weeks, a group of my classmates and I have been eating at a state-subsidized student cafeteria almost every day for lunch. We’ve coined the food Deliciously Mediocre, and constantly try to pretend that we actually know what we’re ordering when we point at the stuff behind the sneeze guard. Upon taking the first bite, I knew exactly what kind of situation I’d put myself into: I was chewing on a big mouthful of pig intestines in a lovely, salty pork gravy.

Monday, October 24, 2005. Episode VI: Return of Montezuma. Well, after a couple of extremely long weeks, I’m finally back, but I really don’t have too much to report. The week before last we were all put through the class from hell: Strategic Marketing Management. The fortunate thing about it was that the subject matter was actually very interesting and useful. The bad thing was that we were pulling 17 hour days for about a week and a half, which is NOT the reason that I decided to stay in school! Our pr...

NB: I apologize for the length and all of the mundane details here in the first few days I’m still in culture-shock, sponge mode; I’ll try to stick to the good stuff once it starts happening.). And remind everyone how sweet the taste of the Miami Hurricanes’ tears really are, and that hopefully they’ll keep flowing forever. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2005. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2005. Tuesday, September 20, 2005. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2005 MONDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2005. Well, the holiday’s over school is not going to be a walk in the park. Orientation was Monday morning, where my Tri-Continental group met the other 30 or so MBA candidates who will be studying solely at ENPC’s Paris campus for the next year or two, and began class as a group. The class was Problem Solving and Business Communication, which I hope will get a little more exciting as we progress. That night our program directo...

Friday, November 04, 2005. Timothy W. Shaw. Following a tough couple of days recovering from near intestinal apocalypse, I bounced back and had a great time last weekend celebrating Halloween please see the link to the new pictures on the right. I had been growing a beard for about 3 weeks prior (my girlfriend Sarah digs beards, which means that I get 10 extra minutes of sleep every morning score! So I needed a good costume to go with it. The French guys are all freaked out by light beer; you can’t find ...

Thursday, November 17, 2005. I'm stuck inside studying tonight while the rest of Paris goes ballistic. It's the third Thursday of November, which means it's time for the French to celebrate what I guess is their version of Thanksgiving, called Beaujolais Nouveau time. Inviting him to Paris, because we tend to act like a couple of real geniuses. When we get together. Posted by corbinski at 11:20 PM. UPDATE: Photos on Flickr. NEW: MOUNT FUJI PHOTOS.
