I bought her most recent Spider Latham book last Oct., and after reading the first few sentences, I knew I was going to love this series! So I put it on hold and ordered the previous books in this series, The Lodger, After Goliath, and Snakewater Affair, so I could read the series in order! Once the last book arrived, I opened The Lodger and quickly lost myself in it's pages!

Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Color Makes Me Happy! As a gardener, one of my ongoing goals is to try to have color in the yard for as much of the year as possible! The early blooming peonies bloomed their little hearts out this year! Now the mid season peonies are giving color! Notice how happy my Mason bees are, lining their little hairy bodies with bright yellow pollen! This peony seems to capture the sun from within! If you look close, you may see the little bee legs heavy laden with pollen! Dear To My Heart.

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Today it was time to pull up the onions and let them lay to harden off for a bit! It's a nice harvest! Hopefully they will store well! I'm excited to have some zucchini ready for today's meal, and more ripe tomatoes! We'll add a couple onions to our basket and use the white one! Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Welcome Little Lexie Lew! As many of you may know, I flew to UT for the birth of our grand-daughter! Walking down the hall to witness little Lexie's first bath, was a family event! The nurse was waiting to take Lexie in for her bath, shampoo, and foot pokes! Mommy and Daddy were allowed in the nursery, while we watched through the glass! The nurse thoughtfully placed Lexie near the window where we could see! Though the nurse was gentle, Lexie did not like her first bath!

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Our Juliet Tomato, that produces all our tomatoes for fresh salsa. got so top heavy that the top portion toppled over! Not only was it blocking my walkway, but it looked like it was in danger of tearing itself apart if left unsupported! I couldn't find the green yarn I sometimes use for added support, and was getting desperate to find anything soft yet strong enough to do the trick! I made a justification: it was raining and nothing had happened before when the door was left open. There are feathers scattered around, including baby ones and the fence is down.
