The small doings of such a small family. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Family Date Night, Cousins at the Park and Standing Up. On Monday of this week we took Kaitlyn to the park. My brother is in town with his family, so we took their daughter Kyla to the park also. Kyla didn't love the swing too much if you went too high or fast, but Kaitlyn seemed to enjoy it. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Please pause for a moment and think about what just happened. My friend just volunteered to stand guard while I went to the bathroom in the woods in Central Park. I didn't do it. I have standards, people. We asked a volunteer where the next toilet was and she reminded me that the boathouse was just down at the bottom of the hill. Fast-forward about 15 minutes and I was running the last mile of the race and this was the look on my face as I was about to cross the finish line.

Friday, January 3, 2014. Oh, 2013. I am glad you are over. I feel bad whenever I say that 2013 kinda sucked. There were so many things to be grateful for - so many major blessings received. Wonderful friends! I live in New York! My family is awesome! Many of my friends have gotten married to great people! But the heaviness remains. 2013 was hard on me. The Year of the Flood. 2014 is going to be my year - I know it. If 2013 was any indicator, I should buy stock in McDonalds. Here's to an even better 2014.

Life With The Avis Family. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. This past weekend was full of soccer! The best kind of weekend, if I do say so myself. ;). The tournament was held in Newnan. an hour and fifteen minutes away! It was quite the haul. We made sure we had all of our chairs and sunscreen and plenty of snacks and water. The girls played two games each day. It was super sunny and pretty warm (mid to upper 80s) and we were all lathered up in sunscreen ready to cheer our girls on. Lindsay charging the ball.
