BRIEF HISTORY OF BENNETT NESTER. Bennett Randall Nester was born in Houston, Texas at Texas Women's Hospital. Diagnosed through MRI with a Pineal Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma causing hydrocephalus on his brain. Brain Cancer was diagnosed. Bennett began a 15 Month Cycle of Chemotherapy- Carboplatin and Vincristine and Vinblastine. Partial Resection of Tumor. 6 Weeks of Proton Radiation at MD Anderson.

Learn more about Bennett and his battle with cancer by visiting the Team Bennett webpage. How we began our mission. The gift of one Build-a-Bear to Bennett gives life to our journey. Bennett's Bears begins our first year of collecting and we are able to donate 250 Build-a-Bears to patients at Texas Children's Hospital during the Christmas holiday. With word of mouth and social media advertising, Bennett's Bears is able to donate over 950 bears to children at multiple hospitals around the Houston area.

It's been a tenant in Bennett's brain for so long now we might as well give it a name. Any suggestions? The results came back. Stable! Friday, June 10, 2016. CVC Bloodwork 06.10.2016. Today Bennett and Mommy ventured over to TCH for a routine checkup, making sure any underlying issues are not popping up, it was quick and easy!
