The World of Ben's Binoculars. Here are some of the animals found in the book, with more information about them. There are over 340 known species of hummingbirds, curiously only in North and South America, no other continents. They range from as far north as Alaska to the southern tip of Argentina. Just as I discovered in my time as one, most of them fly 500 miles over the Gulf of Mexico non-stop, although some may be able to find rest spots along the way. Stingrays are common in the Gulf of Mexico.

I moved from the West Coast of the United States to South America at the age of five years old, and was deeply affected by the culture and people as well as the beauty of the jungles, mountains, and waterfalls there. A look at the Birds, Moths, Dragonflies, Orchids, Bugs and anything else I manage to see in Norfolk. Saturday, 6 January 2018. A quick pictoral update. Christmas was spent in the Lake District with my parents sister, and of course Lizzie and Toby. After a very poor end to the year (for various reasons, but if bad things happen in threes, the week leading up to Christmas covered all very three well! Hawswater- where eagles once roamed. A waxwing was also briefly seen along Sandy Wall, which was very nice.
