Ben's Birding Blog: Buckenham strikes again
http://bensbirding.blogspot.com/2015/05/buckenham-strikes-again.html
A look at the Birds, Moths, Dragonflies, Orchids, Bugs and anything else I manage to see in Norfolk. Saturday, 2 May 2015. Buckenham has once again produced the goods, its looking really good down there at the moment with a nice mix of shallow grassy pools, open water, muddy pools and bare mud, so its not surprising that a decent wader turned up eventually. The breeding waders appear to be doing really well, with quite a few Lapwing broods now being seen as well as up to 11 drummong snipe! Coastal Irelan...

A look at the Birds, Moths, Dragonflies, Orchids, Bugs and anything else I manage to see in Norfolk. Sunday, 24 May 2015. A big bogey picked! As many readers of this blog may be aware, Icternine Warblers and I do not get on, or should I say I have an amazing track record of being a few minutes too late, watch it fly over my head etc. So today was probably my 6/7th attempt to see this once scarce now rare warbler. Almost looked a bit awkward in flight due to bulk and dangling legs. Sunday, May 24, 2015.

A look at the Birds, Moths, Dragonflies, Orchids, Bugs and anything else I manage to see in Norfolk. Sunday, 25 January 2015. A very nice weekend with my parents saw a few decent birds. Saturday we had a nice, but quiet walk around the fen. This was followed by a nice redhead Smew at Ormsbury Little Broad along with a few tuftys, 12 Goldeneye and a few other common species. In the evening we had a walk at Buckenham and encorporated the rook roost and a lovely sunset. Wigeon-520 (C) 1870 (B). I'd have got...

A look at the Birds, Moths, Dragonflies, Orchids, Bugs and anything else I manage to see in Norfolk. Monday, 28 July 2014. Moths at Snetts and Strumpy. A great couple of nights mothing with dad at the weekend resulted with quite a few additions to my list, many of which are micros and in wait of being identified by a chop from dad. There were some macros to see but not that many of which were new. The extra bonus was that mum and dad helped out with some gardening and now its looking great- thanks guys!

Mr Eele's Birding Blog. Saturday, 13 June 2015. After being delayed we were relieved when the boat company said they were sailing so we headed down to the quay. We were booked onto the all day trip which meant we were landing on Staple in the morning then onto Inner Farne for the afternoon. The trip over was a little choppy but we were fortunate to be sat on the 'right' side and stayed dry. First stop was a brief look at the grey seals hauled out on the rocks before moving to Staple. The birds had no fea...
