The Curtis Family Blog: May 2008
http://chrisandkathryncurtis.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
The Curtis Family Blog. Sunday, May 25, 2008. For those of you unfamiliar with the term "amigurumi", it's basically a Japanese art of crocheting/knitting animals and figures from yarn. For those of you familiar. With my overstuffed yarn closet, you understand why I would migrate toward something as cute and irresistable amigurumi. I started the craze a couple months ago after seeing a crocheted penguin on "google images" while searching for penguin memorabelia. I just had to get the pattern! So here he i...

The Curtis Family Blog: No Winter in Sight
http://chrisandkathryncurtis.blogspot.com/2012/01/no-winter-in-sight.html
The Curtis Family Blog. Thursday, January 26, 2012. No Winter in Sight. The sunshine beckons us out to play so we leave the coats inside and venture out. Plentiful sunshine, not a cloud in the sky. The forecast stretches out the same, no end in sight for this run of mid-50 degree sunny days. This might give. Him the wrong idea about winter! He migrates, as always, to the cat's food bowl- hoping I d. Many new sights and sounds for this adventurous boy. This little one is so precious to his Mommy.

The Curtis Family Blog. Saturday, October 18, 2008. When Grandpa's away, the kids will Play! With Grandpa recovering in the ICU following open heart surgery, Uncle Chris and Aunt Kathryn supervised Christlyn and Ethan's efforts to plant tulips at Grandpa's house! Last spring, we battled the cool mornings and cat ladies to buy hybrid tulip bulbs at a discount at our local Botanical garden. Now, six months later, we're looking for anywhere and everywhere to unload the 300 bulbs we acquired! Of course, as w...

http://briananddara.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 26, 2009. We had a very special day at Church today. Brian and I have started to work with the kids, so we were in children's church this morning. After the worship time, the kids get some "be still and know" time. They are to spread out in the room and have some quiet time with God. After about 2 min (an eternity to a kid! They are asked if anyone has anything they feel God wants the group to know. Brianna JUMPED up and ran to the front! How old is your faith? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Our Life: My Babies?
http://briananddara.blogspot.com/2010/08/my-babies.html
Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Why can't our kids stay little forever? Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed each stage that Brianna and Riley have gone through, but I have wondered lately: HOW DID THEY GET SO BIG! Just the other day, we went shopping for school supplies. It was so weird to be shopping for BOTH of them! Riley has really blossomed into quite the young man over the summer. I had heard that boys do a lot of changing the summer before heading to Kindergarten, and boy has he! Big Guy - Bigger Opinions.

Our Life: October 2008

Thursday, October 16, 2008. Dewey Beach, DE. Well, its official: summer is over! We took advantage of a couple of amazing "Indian Summer" days and took the kids to the Delaware. Coast Brian was just finishing a 10 day leave from work (he totally needed some time off! And we wanted to make the most of it. Who would have known that we would have 80 degree days in the middle of October? I think it must be the excitement and pure joy that is in them when facing the magnificence of the ocean! Riley was never ...

Sunday, May 24, 2009. It has been a long time since we have attempted any kind of camping, and thought it was time to give it a shot! We already had most of the gear needed and only had to purchase a few things. I had done some looking online for a camping spot that was close by and had some modern conveniences (bathrooms are necessary with kids! We didn't want a campground that was void of trees and had the campers all on top of each other. We found Bayshore Campground in Rock Hall, MD! Daddy and Riley ...

Tuesday, August 10, 2010. We have been praying for a while for a new addition to our family and we are blessed to announce that we are 5.5 weeks pregnant! Tonight we told the kids and Riley blew us away with his response.he cried! He told us he was crying because he is happy and not because he is upset ;-) (good to know! I know we are really early in telling, but we feel that your support and prayers are so much more important than the possibility of something going wrong. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Curtis Family Blog: August 2008
http://chrisandkathryncurtis.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
The Curtis Family Blog. Thursday, August 21, 2008. With our deck needing painting desperately, basement flooding and rain water draining issues and Chris wanting an "under the deck" access plan, we decided in early summer that replacing the deck would be our summer project of choice. I must be honest up front that Chris has done 99% of the work, most of it during the hot, sweaty evenings! All but the framework has been replaced, including the deck boards, railings and balisters! Now that this is poured, ...
