Thursday, July 31, 2008. Our latest project (done this spring) was to add a one-car garage to the house. This is what it looked like last fall after we moved in. Before the garage. Now it looks like this. We saved the old kitchen cabinets and put the best ones in the garage. With a nice new countertop, it makes a nice storage area. Sunday, April 19, 2009. By the blog title.what did you think? No, we're not expecting.whew! And no more grandchildren are on the way. Another "whew"! I just thought it's time to get you up to date on what's happening in our lives lately.and share a picture (or 2 or 3) of the new addition to our house. The girls love her, and she is relaxed around them (for the most part). Jayna is so good with her; Kaylee, we'll have to work on! She has to learn how to properly hold a kitten. Sunday, October 5, 2008. We're Back Home Again. We arrived home Friday evening from our wonderful trip to Tennessee. After prayer meeting on Sept. 24, we decided to leave and drive until our eyelids wouldn't stay open any longer. (Not safe driving, I know! But grandmas have a way of forgetting things, no matter how important they are! Just wait - you'll see! While we were there they had a baby shower. This is Joy holding up the cake. Saturday, May 23, 2009. Vacation - Part 1. The kids enjoyed time with Grandpa and Grandma - Grandpa walked Lexie to the bus stop the morning we left. That made her day! Next time we'll plan a longer vacation with them.the time went by MUCH TOO quickly and we all hated to say good bye! John Mark, Cristal, Lexie and Zach. John Mark and Cristal. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. And that winter is just around the corner. SIGH! Where did the warm weather go? I miss it already. Anyway, here are the before and after pictures. Some of them are not the exact angle, but I think you'll get the idea. After (We painted it Transvaal Beige, with Earl Gray and Burgandy Wine trim.). Monday, November 24, 2008. Recently we had guests and I tried 2 new recipes. Both of them are suitable for the holiday season, and turned out very tasty. The cake is very moist, and seems to be even more moist after several days in the refrigerator.
