When I came out of India, I found almost similar snack,the Empanada in Latin American restaurants. Wheat flour/atta - 1 cup. Water -about 1/2 cup. Chicken - 1/2 lb or any ground meat as well. Onion - 1 small. Ginger and garlic minced - 1/2 tsp. Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp. Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp. And oil for frying. Make dough as for poori and keep.

Cheese - 1/2 cup grated (any of your choice, I used cheddar here). Bread crumbs- 1/2 cup. Garam masala -1/2 tsp. Mix all the ingredients well. Divide and shape them into patties. This quantity makes about 6. Leave it to set for 1/2 an hour in the refrigerator. Heat a pan. Drizzle a couple of teaspoons of oil. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes.

Cinnamon - 1" stick. Bay leaf - 1. Coriander leaves 1/4 cup. Curry leaves 1 strand. 1 Dry roast peppercorns and fennel seeds.
