This morning when we got up we were passing by the tip of Cape York - we're much closer to the coast than I expected we'd be! We're close enough to clearly see sand dunes and such on the shore! Ok - now THIS is what people think of when you say 'tahiti' to them - white sandy beaches that go for miles, coconut trees everywhere. aqua water over coral reefs. Beautiful place to visit. BLOODY expensive though. All in all it's a very nice place to visit for a single day on a cruise ship - but I wouldn't want to be staying on the island itself! From here it's 5 days at sea to get to Hawai...

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Sunday, 30 May 2010. Day 9 - Bali, Indonesia (Benoa). Well today we arrived in Bali - right off the bat the day started with problems, the seas were too big to allow them to bring out the big Catamaran for offloading passengers - so they had to use the smaller tenders. It was a 30-40min trip from the ship to the shore - so even with 6 tenders, it took until nearly lunchtime for everyone who wanted to get off to get onshore. Day 7 - Darwin.

Blog of Princess Cruises 2010 World Cruise. On the Dawn Princess. Sunday, 5 October 2008. 27th of September - HOME! Well we arrived in Sydney nice and early and after quite a bit of stuffing around got off the ship and boarded a plane for Brisbane. 2 and 1/2 months is quite a while and I noticed more than a few changes when we got back here. Now of course I'm trying to get back into the mood for work (very difficult! I'll post a few more pics and such when I can find the time/inclination to do so.

It may interest some of you to know that from the 14th of July 2008 till the 27th of September 2008 - I'll be on a cruise around the Pacific (along with some of my family). We're travelling on the Sun Princess (pictured above) and I'll be trying to update the blog while we're at sea with info on the places, cruise and other things that happen along the way. 3/8/2010 - Panama Canal.
