Just another WordPress.com site. Newer posts →. January 21, 2011. One thing I would like to mention is that a lot of people object to how God gave rules for slavery. Here are some things I would like to point out from chapter 21:. 1 A lot of the things that God did was set up rules that no other nation around them had. For example after in verse 2-6 a slave could be set free. I know there are more in the Torah as well such as if one kills a slave the master is punished. January 19, 2011. January 18, 2011.

I wanted to mention in chapter 20:13 that there is a thought that this whole thing of anti-homosexuals was the culture. However this is not the case. I am 28 years old and seeking something. Not another Bible-blog!

Then comes an intense episode that leaves no-one cold: God asks Abraham to offer Isaac as a sacrifice! It seems it was a vision, in a dream, for it happens at night. The following morning, Abraham takes his son, Isaac, along with two servants with him to travel to the place indicated in the vision. During the three days it takes to reach the mountain, what is going through Abraham's mind? Isaac was Abraham's favorite son! Isaac was the son through which God had promised Abraham his line would continue!

Bible Reader | Thoughts on my Daily Bible Reading

Thoughts on my Daily Bible Reading. Posted by: Timothy D. Lee. No King Like Josiah. Today’s reading is 2 Kings 23:1 8, 21 25. Once Josiah had been assured that the Lord would accept his repentance, he didn’t keep the message to himself. He immediately began reforms and began to share with the kingdom what the Word of God said. We have a responsibility to share what we have learned. 2 Kings 23:1 8, 21 25, ESV:. Posted in 12 - 2 Kings. Posted by: Timothy D. Lee. We’re All Wrong! Do we try to make excuses?

Bible Reader

A 21st Century Christian reads the Bible. Thursday, January 19, 2012. Sunday, October 24, 2010. Nobody gets any respect! Everybody is disrespecting everyone else in Genesis 31 and the one getting dissed the most seems to be God. Yet, he doesn't seem to be the slightest bit upset about it. Earlier in the Bible (and later) God has shown a propensity for violence when being dissed. But not this time. And then we have this strange interaction between Laban and God after he finds out that Jacob has split....

Read through the Bible. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:. He that is un...

My Interpretation of The Bible

My Interpretation of The Bible. Thursday, August 24, 2006. Genesis, Chapter 12. The Call of Abram. The Lord then promises Abram the land of the Caanites, meaning that the Caanites would loose their land because their ancestor, Noah, had cursed them (Genesis 12:6-7). I would also like to point out again that Noah was an ancestor that was viewed as righteous in Chapter 6 and then became bitter in Chapter 9 and acted out on his son, cursing his grandson who had done nothing.
